Topic: What do you think the biggest issue is with getting a date? | |
---|---|
Question for the men. When you're out meeting new people and potential dates, do you prefer to approach women, or are you happywhen women approach you as well? Don't mind it a bit if the women aprach me. It all goes back to the agenda thing. If I'm not out lookin, I can talk, mingle or flirt with just about any gal. It's when I feel that I would really like to meet someone that I can't seem to. I'ts all about motives.... |

Question for the men. When you're out meeting new people and potential dates, do you prefer to approach women, or are you happywhen women approach you as well? Neither...but they always approach me. Which to me says 'I'm not interested', but apparently it means something completly different to most women. If someone sparks enough of my interest that I think I can actually hold worthwhile conversation with them I'll start talking to them...but Illinois was full of flaming morons for the most part, I'll tell you how it goes in Colorado in a little while. |

Ok, so now I understand what you are saying. You have more
umph in meeting people when you aren't planning it. Right? Well let me ask you this, when you go dancing do you ask women to dance? When you do, are you thinking about dating or just dancing? Scoundrel, If I seen a man going from woman to woman to woman, then come to me, I would not give him the time of day. Not to even be my friend. |

If you were in that situation, you wouldn't give them the time of day? |

Question for the men. When you're out meeting new people and potential dates, do you prefer to approach women, or are you happywhen women approach you as well? I don't mind a woman approaching me if her game is tight. Most women don't have much in this department. What I mean be that is women usually open with something "wow, I really like your ring." Then I'll say "thanks." And now she's staring at me waiting for something to happen. If my head is in the right place, I can grab the ball and run it in for her. But, if I'm not in the frame of mind it just feels weird and uncomfortable. So ladies, if you want to approach and open men out in the real world, understand it doesn't happen to us often and we may be taken by surprise. You'll have to lead the conversation for a little while. So, have something in mind to talk about besides my ring or tie or shoes or haircut. Ask an open ended question about your car or something men know about. |

I try to convince myself that all I wan't to do is just go dancing, but I suppose that if I am honest with myself, I really want to meet someone that I can spend some time with. I need to figure out how to change my frame of mind. Thats the real prblem. To be able to go out and just enjoy it. a no risk event! |

I figure that's what social gathering places are for. Socializing. |

ya I know what you meen. I can go into any other place and have zero trouble talking to anyone! I have a lot of friends in a lot of different stores. But when I go to a bar I just can't seem to be sociable. Maybe they need to have a band at the harware store!

Or are you only able to talk to people on the job? |

I think she means goin from one rejection to the other...like making her look like 'sloppy seconds' to an indifferent bee. Exactly |

I actually haven't even been in a bar more than maybe dozen or so times in the last twenty years. Having been married and raising kids for the last twenty years, the bar sceen was not even on the radar. Now that I am alone again (6mo.) I guess I just miss the noise of a busy house, the comfort that there is always someone around. This is the first holliday season for me to be alone, so it is having a negative effect on me. |
