I usually answer the emails, unless they are in a sexual content. I will
always say hi back and let someone know if I am interested or not. |
so what exactly do you say to say that you are not interested???? I
hate to hurt feelers.... |

jade --- let me ask you this if a guy does e-mail you do you answer it -- or ignore it -- or does it depend on what he says --- for i have e-mailed people first and have not received anything at least -- go away would be nice |
Mostly thanks for writing, then tell them nicely I would be a friend if
they would like to continue to email. Usually they don't. |

Gypsy -- From a practical standpoint, though -- if you can write at all,
if you can make people laugh, or make them think a little bit, you WILL get noticed in a venue like this one. And some of those people will contact you, either out of sheer curiosity, or whatever.... Will you get noticed by the RIGHT people? That's a trickier issue. My actual interpersonal real-life involvements with people I've met on dating sites have all been absolutely horrible, with one exception; that exception being so perfect, for as long as it lasted, that it pretty much outweighs all the bad ones. So it's kind of a crapshoot. You're right, I have been burned (who hasn't, on some level?), and I have doubts that there's anyone "suitable" here (or on any other site, for that matter) -- but history tells me that it IS possible to find someone really good on a dating site, even if the actually likelihood is infinitesimally small. So, there's really nothing to lose, particularly since I'm living in a town where it actually is impossible to meet anyone. And I have made some really good friends here, anyway. And Seahawk, where have YOU been hiding yourself? |

I find that I do no like men to talk about sex etc while chatting with
me in private....I find it really rude....lol go figure I was being a brat in the sex topics but I find it rude and classless to ask me when the last time I had sex etc.... |
I don't answer any emails that are sexual and they want to make me
happy, or make sure I am not lonely.... The content does matter, I will answer someone that I feel needs a friend and wants to talk. Then the ones I am interested in of course I answer. |
ooohhh ok -- gypsy mis-read what you typed -- yeah -- i think it would
bother me less if at least they said something rather then ignore it --- i mean at least acknowledge it --- if i get an e-mail and not interested -- depending on what was said -- then would depend on how i would respond -- such as what jade said if some woman up and said hey i want to marry you -- i'd be like uuhhmm -- can we at least caht for a bit --- lol |
when it comes to relationship stuff with approaching and such..... I
guess you can say I am like a girl. I hate to come off pushy. |
Lex........I know you and I and lot of people have been burned in the
past, online or not, and for you even to be here says that there is that little bit of you that.....HOPES!!!! And where there is hope, there is a chance |
