Topic: Believing what people say. | |

Gotta show me And how are people going to be able to show you that they are truthful? Ah, so you don't believe everyone until you meet them face to face? What about those who lie in real life as well? |

What about those who lie in real life as well? And here I thought you got there on skies!!! LOL We all gotta keep on with that kind of believing! Or we do if we want to keep trying for love...(yea I just got a little sick) |

There are a few who I believe without too much question but I question everything so you know what that means. It isn't truth until I verify it as so...lol

As some say it all depends on who it is that tells ya the information. I tend to be one of those that wants to see the proof of what happen ect. Every story has more then one side to go on just because one said it happen this way does not always means it is true. To many times ones will stir the pot only to create drama. It is funny at times how one may tell another this is what happen when it really comes down to reality they stretched the story to the point it is nothing the way it really happened.
My self if they tell me that is one thing if I choose to get sucked in and involved into something that is not my business then I have made it my problem.... I choose to stay on the side lines and watch that way you tend to find out more of the truth in the end. |

The friends I've made I believe and am always honest in my own posts although the truth is my own and may not be viewed by others that way.

is there another option: that i don't really care whether anyone speaks the truth or not since they matter nothing to me? sometimes i laugh at what is said sometimes i believe it sometimes i'm shocked but mostly i skim over what's written, unless it's a person whose comments i value. you look very pretty in your new photo by the way (totally truthful comment) I like that option, there are very, very few people's opinions on here that matter to me. |

Probably gonna shoot myself in the foot here........
Back in my days of youthful stupidity.... I learned to speak bullSh!t fluently. So, if I had to...I could not only lie through my teeth but do it exceptionally well. However, I am old and jaded enough now to just say what I really think without tippy toeing around the emotionalities. Generally speaking...I reserve my outright BS lies for the young guys at work...they believe everything I tell them.....like John Wayne and Johnny Cash were gay lovers or Paul McCartney is an honorary member of the Nazi party. |

I believe blended whiskey, cold lager beer, and that everybody, given the chance, will lie to you at least once.

i think that if you dont believe it yourself, you arent gonna believe if from others.....that can be a damn shame too

I either trust my intuition, or ignore it, which usually leads to a build up of doubt, ultimately trusting my intuition anyway. The latter usually sucks more.

I usually take anything anyone tells me about themselves, with a grain of salt, whether on here, or in person.
Don't take it personally. Let's just say I am prejudiced from past experiences. |

I'm not old and jaded, but I have no fear of anyone, therefore no reason to lie about anything. The plain old truth works just great for me. Lies just come back to haunt you and destroy trust. |

I must be a one of a kind then. I believe and trust, unless of course it is obviously hog wash, until one proves to me I can not believe and trust them. Then I usually forgive easily. That does not mean I always stick around for more. |

How do you learn to trust people again if you're basing what you believe or not believe on past experiences? |

The truth isn't actually that hard to find out if you are open to it. Intuition, common sense and some simple investigation techniques will get you as far as you probably need to get.
