People who come from broken dysfunctional homes, usually. They relate fighting and constant arguing with love. Some, simply do it out of boredom to release chemicals in the brain that give them a sense of euphoria, because they have nothing better to do. Lot's of reasons, but those are a couple I can think of on top of my head. Addicts! ...  Ding, ding ...  ... Kim! Tell him what he's won ...  he won a cookie....well as soon as I figure out where they are hiding them in here

ok....let me ask posters this.... I realize everyone has a bad day (or year in my case ) but when someone is always negative or causing problems....how long do you stick around for that??? do you just say "they are having a bad day" and wait until they get it together or do you wait longer or what? If they're having a bad day, I generally avoid them, unless they are seeking my support, then I will be there for them the best I can, try to remind them to stay positive if I can. But, if they're just constantly negative, then I have to cut them off, I can't allow them to bring me down with them. |

I'm such a wag~tailed puppy by nature! ... NO WAY THEY CAN STAY IN MY LIFE! My optimistic positivity just can NOT sustain these negative, pessimistic sorts ... ... It is like a good battery gettin' drained by a bad one! NOPE! ... I will ONLY entertain these types in my clinic; and even then ONLY if they are truly determined to get well! Outlook and disposition really ARE a CHOICE! ... Talk is cheap, if they aren't walkin' it ... The door is thatttaway ... Don't leaf mad, just leaf ... Don't let the door hitcha where it'll splitcha ... OUT! |

If they're negative, causing trouble or just starting drama all the time, I'm not sticking around for long. I have no use for those kind of people.

It reminds me of a cartoon Charles at least once had on his profile, funniest thing I've see as far as this subject goes: A stick figure guy is busy, furiously typing away on his laptop ... ... Much of it is habit..like Scott said. There are memories that trigger certain behaviors. Which is the same reason many have the same repeated relationships...the same person just in a different body..over and over again. It takes much awareness and emotional maturity to stop the patterns..
