Most people have cooties. I never shake anyone's hands or kiss hello. Most also find this offensive, but I don't know where they've been. I'm fine waving from afar.

It's not so much cooties that bothers me but the touching itself. The invasion of my personal space I guess. I can handle it from females though, just not from males.

I am a touchy feely person. Human contact is so warming and healthy.

My first thought on this thread, It's actually progress for the OP over this past year, worth noticing.

I wouldn't mind if you touched me.

I don't mind it when a female touches me. I can understand that. Women tend to be more affectionate, and expressive of their feelings. It just kinda creeps me out when another guy touches me in any way.

when we was kids, my little sister had a thing about being touched

so I would hold my finger about an inch from her nose and say "I'm not touching you"

and she would yell "MOM! Robin's not touching me again"

and my mom would say "Stop not touching your sister"

and of course wouldn't stop cause it bugged her so much

and I would get in all kinds of trouble for not touching my sister

I'm not a hugger or a toucher. Except with that one special person. And, my children. I'm always givin' them LOTS of lovin'.

IMHO: something wrong with shunning human contact...

I do not mind touching people, although I keep it appropriate. I will often greet a good friend (woman or man) with a generous hug, and mabye an arm grab. If they are a good friend and I am aware they are "touchophobic", I'll give a good handshake, but also touch their hand with both of mine (my hand on top of the handshake). All of my female friends don't seem to mind a good heart felt hug, and a kiss on the cheek where appropriate. I also tell my friends that I love them, just so they know how much they mean to me...

Conversly, I do not touch or hug people at work, or strangers... just not approprate...

I love kissing and hugging ppl that I care about.It makes them feel good n me too.I also tell them I love them.

When I see a friend (male or female) I give them a hug.

I am the same, with close friends and family, I am the ultimate hugger/kisser. With my daughter/nieces and nephews, they run from all da hugging and kissing.

Now what annoys me is that random person that wants to talk to you, tell you a long story, all the while tapping you constantly!!! That just irks me!!!

I am a bit surprised at the number of men agreeing to not liking to be touched by another man. Strikes of insecurity to me. My male friends slap backs, shake hands, hug if they feel moved to saying hi or bye or been a long time...Must be how I was raised!
