Somebody still needs to teach Hispanic races of the world how to use birth control.

All the increases/decreases in majority/minority levels over the next 40 years depends on whether or not our current immigration levels and laws remain the same.

That's a pretty big if.

I just think we need to teach people the importance of education and planning when it comes to families,, birth control alone is only a band aid to the bigger issues.

Yes, I remember when I was in Elem school back in the 60s birth control education and the impending population explosion was a big topic.
Americans took it to heart. Now without immigration our population increase is a negative number. While other countries, poorer countries, are still out of control.

I don't think our economy and resources will allow us to continue 40 more years of a 17% annual immigration rate. (one of the ifs.)

Someone needs to teach the people of the countries with population explosions to limit their birth rate.
They need to take the issue as serious as Americans and Europeans did in the 60s.

I think our 2050 profile depends not on demography, but (Domestic and International) policy drives. [Pat Buchanan raised the questions of demographic change. – The issue did not attract much attention.] As long as “bushests” continue serving multibillion industries (Churches, Health Insurance, military suppliers); as long as our “from, for, and by the people” continues ignoring the people’s interests and being careless about the middle class (of all ethnicities); probably emigration from the States will increase dramatically by 2050. The white people outflow has started already.

We will have new increasing waves of immigration from the countries we are liberating (Iraq and Afghanistan) and will liberate in future (??? China?, N. Korea?, Venezuela?, Columbia?). However there is no comparison to WELCOMED Hispanic immigration.

Ummm...the VAST majority of the Hispanic Culture is Catholic.

Catholic faith does not allow for birth control.

Good luck getting Hispanics to use it.

Nor in most all Latin American countries.

It's called lack of education.

You'd think economic reality would be enough incentive for these poor populations, but that doesn't seem to concern them either.

To give you my honest answer, I don't think the USA will exist by 2050. Or at least - it won't be called that and I don't know if the borders will be still where they are today. Heck, I'm not sure what's in the next 10 years, the way the things are going, there are a lot of changes taking place, good and bad at the same time.

Of course, you can say that the "EU" is not a country, but a bunch of small countries joining forces, but if you look at the EU states, while you would drive 10 hours from one point to another, you'll find 10 different languages and cultures. The borders are open and the currency (Euro) is already almost time and a half (1 Euro= 1.43 USD), regardless of the economic recession in the past year or so.

As for United States, the culture changes is invetable. Whether or not, the new majority either transforms the USA or not, I don't know. All I know is, that it will change one way or another, because, no matter what might others tell you or even call you a racist, The current face of USA was shaped largely by the massive immigrants from Europe during the turn of the century, while before it was more fonded on English/Spanish system (before the 19th cent.)

You watch the movies, especially older ones, it's either about some Italian mafia, or polish sausage or german saurkraut, french dress designs, english humor and so on and so forth. Whether or not
these values and traditions stay, nobody can tell for sure, but I know for sure that if there are no more immigration from Europe and as factories and products are now coming from China, they are quickly fading out as we go forward the future.

For example:

-Let's say China has a chinese culture, due to the chinese people. Right? They have been chinese for - I don't know - 4-5 thousands of years.
Let's say by some catastrophic event, almost all Chinese get wiped out, leaving the country almost empty. So let's say the Swedish people take over.

Do you think they gonna identify themselves as the "new Chinese" and keep all the traditions and customs, or you think they gonna change the country into something similar to Sweden, by wearing swedish clothes, eating swedish style food, praticing religions like what is in Sweden today.
