The cracks started early With seven simple words "I wonder if I should do that?" Before that, full steam ahead Please share my bed My life, be an eventual wife This is for us, for me God meant this to be Move here now, please Listen to me, you are My rock, don't ever knock How fate brought us together But of course we never Got past the words-too new Not up for review As you cancelled us out There must have been doubt Like a poison that infected Your dreams for us two Priorities shift and sadly It's never about you And I can't blame myself For wanting this dream Created hour by hour Your words in a text Every night before bed I devoured so quickly Like a thirst to be met And drink in I did Every sentence you spoke But unfortunately, the joke Isn't funny at all As you no longer call Yet still I can't blame you For not being strong I can't say that it's wrong You put everyone first In your life, always have And while habits are hard To break, sadly we Will never create, Or make, or swoon to our Shared vision of two We'll never dance together Or have a song As I say so long To a fairytale dream And no longer a girl I just can't pretend Everything's happy In the end

key words, no longer a girl, life is full of regrets until we grow up and realize there's just too little time to dwell upon them....you are so good with expressing this.....enjoyed reading.
