Some people can't handle meeting new people.
Takes a lot of guts to meet someone in person that you've chatted with online.

I've had somewhat different experiences, but the one comes close to yours. This woman & I chat off & on for several months. Due to a series of personal issues on both sides, we are finally able to agree to a meet & greet. Now mind you, she lives about 45 miles away & we decide to meet in a town that's the 1/2 way mark. She tells me because of the time factor, she would be heading straight from work. She works in a factory, so I wasn't expecting her to be all dolled up. We meet, I hugged her, she's no knockout but not kennel material either, we walked inside the restaurant, we had something to eat, conversed, made plans to meet again, I escort her to her car, give her a goodnight hug. Then, when I follow-up with her about the plans, she tells me she's been ill & apologized that she doesn't feel like going &... that's the last time I've heard from her. She's on facebook too & I notice every time I log on she's like Elvis & has left the building.

What the heck!?!
