Well, my experience is that insecure and insincere people use this...or even worse.."If you think I did something wrong, I'm sorry you think that!" It's amazing how many people have a tough time apologizing...it's good for the soul!

an easy question, the one being apologized to should be able to sense or feel the sincerity of such, as long as they consider the apology with their mind instead of their emotion......the question should be is an apology really necessary if both have a complete understanding of one another and can truly grasp what the offense was and communicate that said offense shouldn't happen again...

I don't really believe in apologies.

I mean...for accident's...sure...ok.

But, when someone intentionally does something and then apologises afterwards...it is as meaningless as pretending to forgive them. (forgiveness is equally useless)

slight slip-ups,,,can be forgiven,,,,,BIG ISSUES,,,,

One can choose to OVER-LOOK them,,,but THEY will never be forgotten or fully forgiven for, in the offended one's mind..

And I have listened to way to many BATTERED WIVES,,,who have told me ,,,,their MAN,,,hurt them only when he was drinking,,,
But the next day,,,he apologized and said he was so sorry and he couldn't remember all that he done the night before,,,,

BULLSHlT!!!!!! I would tell them,,and to leave them,,if they hadn't all ready done that,,,because ONCE an ABUSER,,,ALWAYS AN ABUSER,,,w/o serious professional help....
And by THEN,,,,He could have a relapse,,and KILL HER..
