as far as etiquette

he bowed a bit too deep. both should bow a lttle bit and the person who bows deepest gives up status

and he should have kept his eyes on him while he bowed

but he was trying

And he wasn't suppose to touch him but he has to be confused by all the different customs...lol

The humanness of it is actually refreshing.

lol, be my guest, will I have to bow down not to get penalized.....I'd refuse of course, but like was previously stated I'll bow to no man, nor kiss any popes hand, course if it's a woman, well that's a different story.....But anyhow, don't worry, I'll tell on myself.....this is really just a stupid nit pic that really doesn't even deserve the rhetoric it's getting, let alone people pointing out how low he stooped. I swear, people love to hate

I posted it just because it is actually endearing the ways he shows he is still a new president.

The hatemongerers have to be everywhere all the time spewing their hatred.

I heard cool calm and collected but walking softly could work. As for the stick we still have to wait and see about that.

Whatever happend to beleiving in equality? How do you bow to another man based on his status? Absolute disgrace!

Not even!!!

There is nothing wrong with an equal world leader showing another equal world leader the customary respect they are due in their country.

since when does a man have to subit to another man's culture? Especially when it goes against your own culture of "for the people by the people"! Respect for what? Have respect for your self and say i'm not bowing to no man under no circumstances!

Customary respect? Bunch of bull he's a statesman not a damn tourist!

Funny how anyone who critizes the President is automaticly a Consevative.I am a Consevative and I haven't heard anyone complaining about him bowing. It was brought up today in talk radio and they spent about 30 seconds on the issue and said they could care less about it.I could care less about it as I don't expect great things from Obama.

It doesn't go against our culture to respect other culturesslaphead

Respect is shown in order to be received, something we Americans have forgotten for some reason.

Look our history of being controled by a monarchy is part of why we are a free nation today! We should not recognize such customs of bowing to another man! It has been an unwritten rule since President Adams that not all but most have followed! When we where a colony of england they would make our statesman bow three times while entering the room of the king. It was the custom of England and when Adams made president he vowed Americans would never do it again. Adams as a diplomat did bow three times to the king and felt humiliated and vowed Americans should no longer do so. So it is our culture against tyranny! Just the facts babe!

I like your thinking. Isn't it also funny that just because we disagree with his politics we are considered haters. Haha, some just love to throw that out, when it actually has nothing to do with hating the man, but his policies. BIG DIFFERENCE that some just cannot see. Hmmm that sand must be getting in some ears.

good point, I don't like his politics either, and I hate the fact that people are so gullible they'll vote for anyone who can out talk the other rather than focus on the "real" issues, but hate him as a human being, I don't hate anyone enough to let it consume me. Not even good ole George Bush, ugh.....well ok, maybe just a tad, but here's a news flash, I disliked the kennedy's as well, but loved Clinton....both womanizers, but at least Clinton didn't kill monica...Poor Ms. Monroe

oh and thanks quiet man for the warning, but it was too late the admin already spanked me, I still think the statement was idiotic:)...Boo hoo
