well not sure about your profile being gold digger heaven, i looked at it and it seemed pretty honest and upfront to me. and i didnt mean to be biased or offend anyone, but some guys that have a shirtless pic show them on the beach, fishing etc... normal shirtless pics, the ones i meant were pics that were taken for the sole purpose of showing off their bodies to get attention. or a booty call. and just so ya know some of us older gals are not shallow and i took offense to that. now dont go off on me again , we are discussing this not trying to start a war, lol why don't we discuss booty calls instead? |

just curious as to if the guy just wants a fling, why not go to bar and pick up a woman that wants the same? kinda thought a dating site was for ....dating, getting to know someone, finding out what you have in common, not for meaningless sex, if a woman sees a guy with a no shirt pic, it kinda makes them think hes just on here for sex, and maybe thats why all the guys are on here, and dont that kinda ruin it for all the nice guys? Well my profile on here has always been what you see now. but i did have a profile of me that was as i described and was exactly that golddigger heaven. Have to admit my pic was taken shirtless for the sole purpose of getting attention...lol But not a bootie call, well at least not at one night stand! lol... I know older women are not shallow and i was not trying to generalize as such only mentioning that younger girls would not contact me and honestly prefer older women but never know dont want to miss out on her she may be younger than i? Members will respond to what they find attractive. I am rather specific about body type so I don't mind seeing a hairless torso with ripped abs. It saves me from evaluating their physique on our first date by copping a feel during a hug! 
Beyond the physical though, the person must have layers of substance and brain power. I want a well-rounded mate (with whom I can have wild, athletic sex).

You know what is funny? Ok, if I put on my profile what body type I am into, then I am gonna get labeled as a "pig", or something or other. When really all I am doing is being honest about what I like.
And, as I said earlier, women love to look a man who has a build to him. It aint called eye candy for nothing. If I was ripped, then hell yeah...I would be showing off all my stuff...well...not all of it...this is a, like, PG-13 site and all.

I think it sucks that there is a double standard. 
I've never been offended by anyone with preferences. Knowing what you want is a good thing -- IF certain things are worth mentioning. The entire concept of a dating site is marketing. We utilize profiles and pictures for a reason. 
The demographic that is interested in more intellectual partners won't be interested in the “body” crew; the demographic that seeks all body and no brains will seek via pictures and won’t care about much else. Then there are the members who fall in the middle and want both. It all works out. There is no need to try and understand why people do the things they do. Live and let live and don’t hold judgments or grudges. I see bizarre profiles all the time and I just nod and smile -- and click “next”.

I'm guilty of giving the sign to a hot profile pic but the "twiddling"? I've never been turned on by a pic enough to "twiddle". Looking is great but I need them here - in the flesh - before I feel inspired to "twiddle"!
