I have done this both ways! When my pictures where at a distance and really just showed someone i got nothing but shallow older women looking for a free lunch! so i tried close ups of my face and body with shirt off and found genuine people interested only in me and not what i have. so yes it is probably about physical attraction but that was the actual results. Not to mention my email blew up over night so it was expediant as well! So it absolutely works to the power of 10! I dont think attraction is wrong in any persuasion and we all have our different wants and desires. yours happens to be different than others thats all.

been on a couple dating sites and wonder why alot of the guys feel the need to post pics without their shirt on, is this a macho male thing? or just guys looking for a one night stand , even though their profiles say looking for long term? very confusing. Meh. They are just trying to show off the goods. They want to make sure that the females out there know they don't have any fat rolls or man boobs. but maybe some women care more about their smile Usually, the guys that post that type of pic are young dudes who don't much care about what the woman wants. They are just looking to hook up with the " hottie " and figure that putting " long term " makes them more appealing when combined with the " sexy " body. well the women i met before these pics where shallow and havent dated one since so go figure? |

Hmmm....maybe they are really poor...and cannot afford a shirt. Naw, I'm gonna go with they're just goofy, egocentric and shallow. And maybe MOST women looking for a serious relationship should avoid them! Kind of the same reason I never took a girl home to mom and said, "Wow, mom, look at her t***!"

just curious as to if the guy just wants a fling, why not go to bar and pick up a woman that wants the same? kinda thought a dating site was for ....dating, getting to know someone, finding out what you have in common, not for meaningless sex, if a woman sees a guy with a no shirt pic, it kinda makes them think hes just on here for sex, and maybe thats why all the guys are on here, and dont that kinda ruin it for all the nice guys? hhhmm maybe they are just tring to show what they have inorder to attract attention...I myself do not feel it necessary to do this. As far as the corelation of one night stands and long term relationships....I do not think that this is realy true....It could be that you might just have been unlucky in your picks in that they wanted only one night stands yet say they want long term commitments. Try not to give up on us there are some of us that are geniune in our intentions and mean what we post and what we say...

[/quote well not sure about your profile being gold digger heaven, i looked at it and it seemed pretty honest and upfront to me. and i didnt mean to be biased or offend anyone, but some guys that have a shirtless pic show them on the beach, fishing etc... normal shirtless pics, the ones i meant were pics that were taken for the sole purpose of showing off their bodies to get attention. or a booty call. and just so ya know some of us older gals are not shallow and i took offense to that. now dont go off on me again , we are discussing this not trying to start a war, lol |
