I don't think Bush made decisions based on his own personal profit

but I do think he made em based on knee jerk ideology (much like a lot of people in these forums) without consideration of the resulting big socio-political picture

I disagree.

Bush did not even know what knee jerk means.

He was an idiot. Made a fool of this country across the board.

probably a much higher IQ than yourself, but i don't know???? He was not an idiot and he was not dishonest those are just comedy skits! His biggest mistake was pandering to the left, had he stayed on topic he would of been a great president!

NOT!!!rofl rofl rofl rofl

well you know the bush administartion was almost a repeat of reagan. They pale in comparison for two reasons. Bush has no public appeal and reagen reached across the isle but stuck to the agenda when bush capitulated to the barney frank crowd! so it really is a lot of hype if you dig into the actual laws passed and such!

I don't really understand what happened. we had high hopes for him

he was the most popular governor Texas has ever had. And he actually did more for Democrat-Republican unity in Texas than anyone before. Half the Democrat party in Texas was enthusiastic supporters of Bush while he was governor. He had more support from the Hispanic community than the Hispanics did

But once he got to Washington that all disapeared. maybe it was the Rumsfeld Cheney neocon influence that pulled him off track

Texas actually has a lot to thank him for! He was incredibly successful there and the Texas economy is fairing better than most! But you have to admit Texas is a conservative state all the way around. when he got to washington he had far more democrats to contend with and the neo-cons did contribute to the problem for sure! But then again neo-cons tend to be a bit moderate unlike the true conservatives.

You shame Reagan by that comparison. I am not a great fan of Reagan either but he was in no way as bad as Bush.

There was at least one thing I agree with Bush on and that was his immigration philosophy.

Bush wasn't even smart enough to go after the perpetrator of 9/11!!!

Obama during his campaign said over and over again that he had a plan for Afghanistan...well, if this is it, it sure sucks....

I pray that the decision the administration makes will create the least amount of deaths in the upcoming months. That is all I wish for.

I guess it's fair to say that many people suffer of the short-term memory problem. It's a global phenomena.

It's really hard to do anything if people are unable to remember things and the same tricks pulled over and over and repeat the same mistakes, like it never happened before.

I don't know, maybe I'm just different I guess. I know that Bush was not an idiot, for example. I just searched youtube and I knew it that i remembered, that Bush slowly deteriorated over the years, he wasn't like that before.

Now, pay close attention to this video and you shall see, that he isn't stupid. Something happened to him..don't know what Alzheimer or some mental trauma, I don't know.

ah no solution, ha...Russia had the solution, leave them the hell alone...albeit, took them many years but finally after getting their ***** kicked up and down the terrain they got the hell out of there....Can anyone really tell me what the hell we are doing over there to begin with, and what is the purpose for sending more soldiers with targets on their backs into a country that clearly despises us...Oh yeah, he has a plan, more talk shows and selling Bullsh.t rhetoric to the public.....inexperience catches up with you sooner or later, looks like sooner has come early.......Anyhow he is really nothing different than anyone else you gullible people keep putting in there every four years. I don't know how you can even find the time to be mad at Obama, one would think you'd be too busy rounding up all those idiots that gave G dubwa a second term, course they'll do the same with this Nobel peace prize weiner....<<<<<<not a misprint

well like I've said before

there are only three choices

1. Bail. get out and let the chips fall where they may

2. Fight a war to win. Pour in troops and pound em till its over

3. continue to fight a "limited war" and only give enough money and troops to prolong it

Obama will have to decide to do one or the other. Most likely he will continue the "limited war" and bleed America to death of money and troops

Can I cast my vote for #2

Didnt Bush do HARM to the economy in Texas? I will have to do my research but I seem to remember him not being 'successful' in that area...

actually no

he pushed hard the diversification of the Texas economy to get us off the oil boom/bust cycle. the high tech corridor between Austin and San Antonio was almost a direct result of his efforts to bring in companies to Texas

Texas during and since Bush (however much I don't care for Perry) has maintained a cash surplus and hasn't been hit all that hard by the recession

Wanna' be Kang Hussein is a thinker, by golly. He thinkin' how great he is fo' winnin' a Nobel Prize and tryin' to figger out why?

As far as being experianced as a military stratigist, like his managerial experiance, he ain't got none.

How 'bouts we just start priming Ron Paul to take over after Christmas.
