Don't get me wrong. I'm not the best Catholic. Believe me, as a human is prone to do, I sin.
Past and present.
But, I'm not going to attack the Church for my indiscretions and expect them to change the word of God just so I can say I didn't.
God forgives!
All you have to do is ask!

The Greek Orthodox Church (Greek: Ελληνορθόδοξη Εκκλησία, Hellēnorthódoxē Ekklēsía) is the body of several churches[1][2][3] within the larger communion of the Orthodox Church, sharing a common cultural tradition and whose liturgy is traditionally conducted in Koine Greek,[4] the original language of the New Testament.[5]

And the New Testament is??????

and (going by memory so some stuff may be wrong) it all stemmed from the Council of Nicene and the differences between some who believed that Jesus was the manifestation of God and those who believed that Jesus was the Son of God and not an actual manifestation of Him the Catholics won that argument and then persecuted the ones who didnt follow it

No matter how many wrongs were done in the name of the Catholis religion. They will never match those done by the Jews!

Agreed!
Most learn though.
The Jews, persecuted by the Nazis did not!
They expect pity and restitution and at the same time commit the same atrocities they them-self suffered on the Palestinians.
And we have helped them!
Why?
Guilt perhaps?

Most of the problems in the ME stem from our support for the illegal state of Israel. Yet, here we have a topic, a debate, a complaint about the idle, powerless words coming from the Catholic Church in the USA.
They may try all they want but they have no power to make our Gov policies. The Constitution guarantees a separation between church and state.
Topics like these are merely a propaganda tool used to influence the populace and destroy Christianity in America. Starting with the one least likely to bend to their life choices. The Catholic Church.

weren't the Jews always "willful and disobediant"? that was why He delivered them first to the Egyptians and then the Babylonians and the Sumerians and finally the Nazis?

anyway I'll be back

It makes me sick that they'd take away those services all because they're worried about having to provide employee benefits to same sex married couples.

I dont see it as them taking away from people. They have the right to not support those things they dont agree with, if it is their own money. Seems the noble thing to do to not take the contract if they cant or chose not to abide by its requirements.

I managed without going to church for 34 years, I think I can manage the rest of my time without it. Good reminder to stay away from organized religion, which causes the biggest problems in the world today, even now. I'm religious on my own, I need no one to tell me what to believe, I can tell the good from the bad.

after all organized religion preaches of the evil doer being of (in christianity) satan

satan was once an angel

man was innocent until such time the serpent (satan) convinced eve to par take of the fruit of the tree of knowledge and thus eve persuaded adam to do the same

thus before this there was no evil

thus organized religion is the root of all evil

an absence of the acknowledgement of something doesnt mean that thing is absent......and as a christian i was never taught non believers are of the devil. I think people who arent a part of a 'religion' often repeat misinformation about what it teaches.

I have read the comments to this article and man what a crock of Sh**.Someone said "how Christian of them"!Are you really going to tell me that the Government is now going to dictate to the religions what the can and can't believe? The Christians and the Catholic religion goes back at least 1600 years before the United states was even a speck on map. They know what they are doing and they have been ultra successful.

If I was head of the Catholic church I would tell the Government to piss off.The Government does not have any legal right to dictate how the Catholic church should be run.I totally agree with that if the Catholic church does not want the gay agenda in it's church it has every right to keep it from entering into it.I wonder if they are going to start telling the Muslim companies they have to accept the gay agenda also.I wonder how well that would go down.

You say "how Christian of them".Well I say how un-Christian of them if they give into this political correctness BS.We have our rules, laws, standards and morals and a person practicing homosexuality in the staff of the church does not go over so well when you are reading how it is a abomination to God to hundreds of people in your congregation.

Separation of church and state goes both ways.

One day the Christians will all be gone and you can see how much evil increases or decreases because of your theory.
