I was listening to the news, and there was a piece about a woman who had
gone missing, and sadly her dead body has now been found. The report
said she went missing directly after a date.
I wonder how much people do consider safety, how well do you get to
know someone before dating them, and would you agree to going to an
address, or having a date come to your home, in the early stages of a
relationship?

I have on occassion, had them come to my home....I admit it.huh

But, I do feel fairly safe, my neighbors know me and I mention it to
them when or if it has occurred. And I live in a townhouse.....etc..

But But....very rarely do I do that!embarassed

I would probably never go to their home first though!

For a first date...especially if i met them over the internet, i like to
meet in a public place somewhere in between where we both are from .
Meet for coffee or lunch and sit and talk get to know one another
better.
I want to get to know them before they know where i live...lol
And no one i date meets my children...unless it is a relationship that
going somewhere.

Tulip, I hate hearing about stuff like this, but it does happen. I
would never have anyone pick me up on a first date, it's always better
to meet in a public place, it's safer that way. Once I got to know them
better I might invite them to my place, but I'd have to know them well
enough to trust them and their intentions.

I hope they find the psycho that killed the poor lady...

I think everyone should really consider thier safety...

If you meet you should meet in a public place!

Make sure that other people know of your meeting...

Goodluck to all of you and BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prayers for that woman and her family...

I had a first date once that went really bad really fast. And I thought
I'd been careful because I'd taken my own car to meet him for dinner.
Then we rented a movie and went to his apt. WRONG idea. I was 22 yrs
old, and he was a wolf in sheep's clothing. frown
