Abracadabra,

Every thinking human with opinions is a hypocrite. Nobody is completely
truthful with themselves, so don't beat yourself up. Eventually, I'm
sure, you will be honest enough with yourself that you will feel you can
be a good parent.

I think the title was phrase absolutely wrong, therefore the confusion
here.

What I don't understand, without trying to pass judgement, is, that a
healthy young woman doesn't want to give childbirth.
There is nothing more satisfying than to hold this precious new life in
your arms for the first time.

Let me help you out here with reasons why "a healthy young woman doesn't
want to give childbirth".

1) She's not currently ready for children and she doesn't know if she
ever will be.
2) She just doesn't want kids
3) She has an emotional / mental hangup that we aren't aware of.
4) God has moved her to not have children because:
a) He wants her to be the adoptive parent of a specific child
b) He knows that she can't have children and doesn't want her to
experiance the heartbreak of that would occur when she found out.
c) He knows that her first pregnancy will kill her and he is saving her
for another purpose.

I don't see any reason to judge someone, because they don't want
children. You choose to not judge people on their lifestyle, religion,
beliefs, behavior (if they are your friends) and for many other reasons.
Why do you think it is that you can't help but judge a Christian woman
who doesn't want children?

I assume that comment was towards me, about thinking God does not
condone adoption:
I for one never intended for amyone to feel adoption was against God.
God is for all to know their parentage. I was merely stating what could
be found in the Bible. It wasn't negative, it was showing that adoption
should be done knowingly and without secrecy. Adoption according to the
word is not as it is today.
The question was asked and I gave the best answer I knew how. I am also
an adoptive parent. Two boys. Diffrerence with us is; we all know each
other. We, all the parents and the children know each other. We have
much love all around. Gratitude all around here.
I was showing that the church in many cases and the law have taken it in
their own hands and given less value to the biological parent, and in
keeping the identities away from all, is in my book, questionable. I've
seen the pain of some adoptive children from not knowing the
circumstance and the identities of their respective biological parent.
I find it heartbreaking to see. I am all for adoption; but I wonder if
it wouldn't be better for the church and the law to stay out of it and
let individuals work out their own ways of handling it? Seems to me that
when the church and the law gets involved things go awry.(Did I spell
that right?)

Moses found out his heritage by accident,it wasn't intended by the
adoptive mother that he find out.Every child deserves a good home
whether you are raised with or without the religion you were born into
or are adopted by people who are not your race.Me,I would raise mine to
be a good person regardless of anything because I am so sick to death of
christian american,afro american,etc.
I as an adoptee have found the whereabouts of some of my siblings and my
birthmom. It would be nice to see some people who look like me but I know
where my people are...here in NH across town.

No no no no no no. You misunderstand me.
Moses's mother breast fed him for three months and then let him down the
Nile for safekeeping, in hopes that someone would adopt him and raise
him as their own. The queen did this. She hired Moses's mom to keep him
as a mother would. She found out later who was his real mother was. She
kept it from him. But, all the time both women knew who he was, with the
blessing of each. The Queen was in fear of letting anyone know who he
really was, so protected him for many years. When it came time to
protect him once again, she, the Queen, led him to his own mother.

PLEASE do not think me against Adoption. I am not. I am for the good of
the child. I feel that churches and law need stay out of it. There would
be many more happy adoptions if it were to be by the biological and he
adopted parents.

Of course there are many happy adopted children out there. One would
wonder if they knew their own parents whereabouts and heritage if they
would be even more happy.

Adoption is not against God's will. It is God's will. Society should
take care of the widows, orphans and old folks. But for the grace of God
there go I.

I believe that also. God is not against adoption. He is however for
blood heritage. For those that cannot raise their own, to have a blood
relative to do it. Or at the very least, have them know them.

I cannot find where anyone sees it says that here, that God is against
adoption. I simply do not see it. If God was against adoption would I
have considered it? Probably. It was in the good of the boys, the
families as well as me.

ADOPTION IS NOT AGAINST GODS WILL...LOVE IS THE WILL OF GOD.

Holy cow...I just read a mistake I made earlier. I have three adopted
boys. Big Justin, little Justin, James. My two natural are Jay, and Che.
Look at this: two more letter J's, Jerry and Johnathon, lived with me
off and on as late as two years ago. They adopted me.
I have a lot of boys. I'm a lucky woman. I sure would like to have a
girl in my family though.

Red and Bl8t the way to avoid judgement and turning this thread into an
argument is not to jump to assumptions.

I never said I would neglect a child with a different background.

With that said, I alread answered you're question. Next time don't jump
into assumptions..you don't know me. You think you do.grumble

noway It amazes me people start an argument about ANYTHING. It could
be a discussion on something as small as atoms, dust and it will turn
into a HUGE misunderstanding..

I know this is old... but I was adopted!!! And I'm SOOOO glad I was. I
met my biological parents when I was 14 and they lived such messed up
lives that I'm glad I was given to the people I was given to. And it
had to be God's Will because my parents had to be in the right place at
the right time to get me. My little brother was adopted as well...

I have one by the old fashioned way... and I plan on having one more...
but I want a house full!!! And I feel like there are so many more kids
that were in my position that just need love!!! And that's what I want
to do.... There's nothing wrong with adoption, and maybe you'll change
your mind about the childbirthing process... but as long as you're comfy
with it in your heart and you know you're doing the right thing, you'll
be okay!!!
