This one isn't true. They did a show about this on Mythbusters. They hung some 100 toothbrushes in different locations around a bathroom as well as two toothbrushes under a drinking glass on the other side of the building to use as a control group.

The result was that all the toothbrushes still had the same amount of fecal matter on them no matter where they were including the ones in the control group.

Greeeeat! Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Poo poo occurs"...

Well it just goes to show it is not false completely either and that you should have covers on your toothbrushes.

Hummm guess it gives women more of the right to complain about others not putting the toilet seat down before flushing huhhhh in order for all those partials not to fly around as much.

I don't think you understood me. The toothbrushes in the control group, the ones on the other side of the building, under glass had the same amount of fecal matter on them as the ones hung right above the bowl. Seat up or down doesn't matter.

And put the lid down too I wonder how my people have it right next to it ...I took mine out because the kitten got to it had to put in the closet ..I'm closet brusher from now on !!!!

Very True I used to manage a McDonald's and that was the biggest seller for lunch even if there were no kids.

Although the scent of citronella is unpleasant to mosquitoes, it's not what bothers them about it the most -- it irritates their feet!

Oh, right. That's the FIRST thing I'm gonna think about doing if a crocodile bites me.
