15. Dentists recommend that a toothbrush be kept at least six feet away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush. This one isn't true. They did a show about this on Mythbusters. They hung some 100 toothbrushes in different locations around a bathroom as well as two toothbrushes under a drinking glass on the other side of the building to use as a control group. The result was that all the toothbrushes still had the same amount of fecal matter on them no matter where they were including the ones in the control group. |

Well it just goes to show it is not false completely either and that you should have covers on your toothbrushes. Hummm guess it gives women more of the right to complain about others not putting the toilet seat down before flushing huhhhh in order for all those partials not to fly around as much. |

I don't think you understood me. The toothbrushes in the control group, the ones on the other side of the building, under glass had the same amount of fecal matter on them as the ones hung right above the bowl. Seat up or down doesn't matter. |
