and there are those that work under real social security numbers that just don't happen to be theirs. they pay in without a problem...and they can't ever draw it back out.

They can't get benefits at all anymore unless states enact legislation to do so, and the funding has to come from state funds. That sure worked out well for CA, didn't it?!?

I call ******** on them doing jobs that most feel is beneath them to do, especially in this economy. Employers will hire someone who can be used to their advantage, and my stance is and always has been that the companies hiring them should be fined heavily because their jobs are one of the reasons why people are entering the country illegally. I also didn't place the blame on the illegal immigrants, and simply stated that I don't think they should be eligible for benefits, especially considering the system is strained, and there's not enough funding to go around. Furthermore, having done volunteer work in more than one Central American country for an extended period of time I'm well aware as to their motivations for coming here. And where do you think the majority of the money they're earning goes to- back home to support their families living there.

Employers and myself in a managerial position will always and mostly hire to the benefit of the company, to do otherwise would not be too business savy.

Never said you blamed the illegal/undocumented immigrants (come now we too cool for that ) I happen to agree with some of the things you said.

I kinda take a personal stance, I know plenty of people who will not work for McDonalds because they can make more money collecting benefits and staying home, but McDonalds has to fill that position. I know many people who will not work in the sun (for example: landscaping) because that's a ______ job and/or beneath them.

As to where they send the money - that also don't bother me - I spend more on gas than most send overseas, guess who is benefitting from my gas purchases it's not us (yes I said us and I mean Americans)

i've worked with several illegals over the years, and one of the ways they were able to be employed was with a valid social security number. one man who was legal went back to his country and left the number for the rest. they rotated out, working underneath his number. the others had their own social security cards...looked very real, and at the time, as an employer all you did was check that they had such documentation. it was not an employer's job to verify that the papers put in front of them were true and real.

did i know that they were illegal? yep. but they had papers saying that they weren't.

they worked their heinies off, and were better employees than most.

i have no clue where they got their papers, but they were of good quality. i didn't even realize they were fake until the day their car was impounded and they asked me to pick it up because they were fearful of being caught.

I believe Americans should be outraged about alot of things

Coverage on health care for every American. The last time I checked 40 million Americans have no health care.

The wars that costs Americans alot of money. I think we are over 12 trillion dollars in external debt right now. No country has it that high like the US.

The infrastructure of the country is crumbling. Bridges, highways, clean drinking water, the use of energy, etc. etc. is below average and low maintenance.

The education system is being cut often in various states. See what Arnold Schwarznegger did in California for example outraging teachers.

I don't know about you, but I have noticed that food is more expensive. I get less but pay more lately. I wonder if this is just the case in Miami, but it seems like food and drinks cost more then they use to.


Our prison system are overwhelmed and full beyond control at the moment. Look up this on the internet for more details.

So this is just a small list, but come on! The Americans should be upset and they should really try to figure out how to fix some of the problems on the table, because the government is doing a very slow job in many cases and at times stalling on purpose.

It's very simple.

Illegals, while they may pay sales taxes and taxes on gas and other stuff, DO NOT ( in the VAST majority of cases ) pay ANY income tax at all. Income taxes make up the majority of what the government collects to pay for it's programs.

Most ( and by most I mean damn near ALL ) of the illegals in this country are working cash jobs. That means they get paid " under the table ". NO payroll taxes. NO Social Security taken out.

There is a dairy farmer in my area who has been busted THREE TIMES for employing illegals. He paid every one of them in cash so that HE wouldn't have to pay the payroll taxes either.
