I left home at 15...and never went back. Was a huge mistake, I tried to run before I could walk, I was not allowed back in. My boys can stay with me as long as they want as long as they behave and help me...and they do. I have no significant other, and I'm rather fond of my sons. I feel safe and loved with them.

Oh ok,,,ha ha, my daughter will be 22 and still lives with me, but then she just finished four years at the university, if she had not lived with me during that time she would have never done that, so the circumstances prevail....

Yep!!Way to go- bigsmile

Kind of a rite of passage in our family. My Siblings and I all moved at 18. I was already in college so on campus living was very cheap , anyplace I needed to go I could walk, and working in a restaurant there was always something to eat. I dont think I would push a child out but I dont know that I will have to find out because it just seems like the kids already have it in their mind to become 'adult' at 18.

I moved out at 17 and never even thought of moving back

For my kids, unless it was the I'm 30 years old unemployed because I choose to be and not willing to do anything to help with the bills or around the house if need be I wouldn't say no.

Each kid/family is different and with the fluctuations in the economy, job issues, going to school, I don't think there is a perfect age to say Move out.

but he has been gone from here for about 6 months now.. I had no clue he was on Mingle.

my twins were nineteen...
set themup in their own apartment..
they go to school...they also have part time jobs while going to school...
I think it's very important that children learn..responsibility....core values...
when they were sixteen gave each of them a visa card..a low credit..but made them responsible for it..
thinking..there oughta be financial/life classes taught in high school...
for me..knowing I prepared them the best I could for..life in general....
