I am jaded and naive. Love is imaginary. I have never seen love, only what i believed to be love. Now money, that is fake too, but it helps fill that lonely void.

Love is many things, but to me it is simply an emotion one has to show how they are feeling...But money can make one happy...immensely so

Love is an emotion, money does help. But where do we find it in this imaginary world.

Love is more than an emotion..it's a force of nature. The very basis of our creation...emotions are fleeting, love is eternal.

The real question is, how do we determine what is real and what is fake in this jaded, naive world. A world so imaginary that we all seem to be in this search for absolution? Those that seek love will they find it? Is it out there? Those that seek money is it lonely at the top? What about those who seek both? Well we just call them optimistic. Rarely will you find love and money in the same place. One will always tear the other down.

Forget what you see on tv and movies portrayed as love. All real love is merely companionship. Tolerating the other person. Feeling about them as family. That is true love.

I am being honest in the fact i have never seen love. Not even family love. Growing up abuse is what we saw. Drunks and violence. Excuse me but i dont think thats love. I feel my ability to love died with the death of my great grandmother. The one who cared most about me, yet didnt get to guide me to the path of true love. How can i feel love when i was conceived as the product of divorce? When the one "dad" in my life drifted away so far. My mom a distant shadow through the fog of hatred. I once thought love was real. Then i realized that love is false. If i find love. Maybe a light will shine bright for me.

Girl you can find love in all kinds of places in so many different forms. Watch a woman give birth and you will see love in her eyes when she holds her child for the first time. Watch a vet nursing a wounded animal and you will see the love in his/her hands. Watch a guy wash and wax his classic car and see the love pouring out of his sweat glands. Love is all around you all the time. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that you went through. Men purify gold with fire, and I believe God purifies us in a simular way with trials and tribulations. You must have a truely pure heart, look around you and I'm sure you will find love.

Love isn't something that happens to us. It is something we live from the inside out. Be it ... revel in it ...

Love wears many dresses and only one of them comes with the label romance

Love really is all around you. It is not the fantasy seen on TV or movies or your favorite romance novel. You can feel love in many forms. Love of nature, or nurture, or family. The love you felt for your great grandmother is a perfect example. Even if she was still with you, she couldn't guide you on the path. Only you can do that. Love yourself, love those around you. Volunteer, live each day like your last, let every friend know how you feel, how much better they make your life. Life is a choice, make yours the best.

Now after writing this diatribe, I can't even begin to see what money has to do with the issue. Money allows us to live, eat, sustain. But basically is just a necessary evil.

Wow...that wasn't the OP I expected and I'm sorry you are feeling that way.

I guess I believe that to a great extent, we create our own reality. If we are jaded, disillusioned and disappointed, it's up to us to at least TRY to make the changes we desire. Does that mean I never whine and always get my way and everything is sunshine and roses every day? Of course not. But it's still incumbent upon me to move along and try.

I do not come from a white picket fence background and understand much of what you described. It stinks. It scars you. Personal growth is tough and often terrifying but possible and very rewarding.

Wishing everyone here lots of the positives and the ability to create something better than you imagined.

Money cannot bring happiness just helps endure your misery better.

Love can bring the biggest value to ones life and also the biggest pain.

Both are hard to find but if I had to choose one i would take love even at the risk of the pain it can bring because the rewards of love outweighs all.
