Topic: Cosmic Laughter? | |

Goodness, in the words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"
Resserts has a point. Why must people question other's faith? As I have said before, I believe that we are all on different paths to the same place. There is no need to insult or even question another's faith, belief, or what they had for breakfast. Try to appreciate other's differences and learn from them. I am steadfast in my faith, but I NEVER try to cram it down anyone's throat or insist that mine is the only or right or true way. I teach it to my son and hope that he will embrace it. And, yes, Adventure, I do believe that G-d might be laughing at all the mess we have made of this beautiful world. There's a Beatles song, Imagine. But, I like all of you and won't sing it. |

Aye spider and I got that message you burn with.
As was Jesus when he said this. so AM I. |
I am curious what you had for breakfast, Michelle but I won't ask. I
know it is irrevelant. |
I'll tell you, but don't insult my answer, Rainbow. Honey-Nut Cheerios.
My little one likes it when we have the same breakfast. |
Oh and before I go to eat my dinner.
Spider in reguard to your first post on this thread. I AM right for ME though it might not be right for YOU. BUT since I AM. I can be only that that I AM. Anything less would be an insult to that that I AM. No matter what else I AM if must be me so that when I look in the mirror of my sould I know that I AM. |
MMM, sounds good, Michelle.

AdventureBegins,
What are you having for dinner? I can tell you what you shouldn't have, it's green eggs and ham. I do not like them in a box. I do not like them with a fox. I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, AdventureBegins-I-am. Jesus is God. |

Could it be possible that this deity you all fight so vehemenantly over,
is a figment of a delusional man's dream? That the cosmic joke is...you were born of a woman, you reproduce through a woman, and your only salvation is, that hopefully your children will reproduce as women, or through women? That this "all powerful" male energy, so many are adamantly sure is reality, is the cosmic joke, and nothing more than the mirror of your own vanity? Hmmm food for thought...Jesus/God is Dr Suess? |
Well said, Jess.
I'm sure my son thinks Dr Suess is a diety. |
Aye indeed Lee!!!

It is MY belief, learned from much reading and prayer; that Jesus IS God
(notice I put the "O") in there, and that both Jesus, in the name of God, Father of Jesus is also known as "I AM". It is taught that Jesus is God in all His glory and His doings. That to get to God we must first go through Jesus, the Son. Whom by the way was told by God to tell anyone who asked who He (Jesus is), is to tell them "I am". Jesus will sit at the throne beside God as Him and will be the ONE that sits in our judgement. It is my understanding that when we teach the words of God and make them known, that we may be asked "who is God"? To which we might answer " I am". Because we speak for Him.That last part may be a misread. Kat PS. By the way spider; I mailed you with my worry. I am surprised that you did not do the right thing and respond to me. I would have thought you would be the last person to not take that opportunity and speak with me. Am I not worthy? I ask that in kindness. For I am but a lamb, looking for the flock. Kat |

Well, the responses to this thread missed the point or I have been
ignoring this section of JSH so long I have missed out on some interesting fireworks. I thought the notion of cosmic laughter was interesting. I would certainly like the idea that someone somewhere who knew everything in the world would derive some pleasure from life. Whether that means humor or some other sort of pleasure. Humor is a big part of enjoying life. |

The Romans didn't like Druids either, lol. The Romans worshipped many
gods and the Druids worshipped many gods. The Christians worshipped one god. Caesar thought he was god. Christians and Druids believed in excommunication. When two disciples came to the Romans they found this one place set aside for the unknown god. The Romans afraid to anger any god let them worship the unknown god. ![]() |

Is Jesus the word?
Jesus is the word of God. The word of faith.

I often wonder why, since He is the Word, people spend so much time
looking for Him and not following in his Word. |
Well, for me AB,it is because I seek the true word. I want to try and be
sure that I am on the right road. It is not merely being, it is being better and more. If we were not to seek the word, then why would we have it to live by? I believe that I am to seek and become more than I am in order to please God. To be more than I am, is to try harder, learn more, be better. For that is what He asks. A work in progress. Kat |

By the way, it is Jesus that I am looking for. It is He that will tell
the tell. When Jesus makes His entrance, I will surely see him then. Kat |
Kat you live his word.
I see that in your posts. I am speaking of those that spend so much time kneeling in front of him they never walk to road he reveals to them. It is quite sad to see them waste what he has shown them. |
