Grayson calls health care crisis 'holocaust'

Florida Rep. Alan Grayson, under fire for conservatives for describing the gist of their health care plans as "die quickly," is not exactly backing down from claims he's crossed a line of civility.

Just now on the floor, he called on members of the House to pass health care reform in the most extreme terms possible:

"I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America," Grayson said.

Then proceeds to call republicans

"Unscrupulous, Foot-Dragging, Knuckle-Dragging, Neanderthals!"

Where is Nancy Pelosi with her crocodile tears condeming him on his words?

You hear him saying on Maddow's show that the republicans are blocking everything. How is that? the democrats have enough votes in the house and senate to pass whatever they want.

Have you ever watched the drama that occurs on the floor of Congress? If we hold all them responsible it would get pretty busy in the prosecution department.

Now disrespecting the president during a public speech that is deplorable. Racist, I tell ya...lol

OMG! So it was OK for the dems to diss Bush on the floor of Congress, but the standard is reversed for repubs? And you wonder why I consider the party system a joke! laugh rofl rofl rofl

I said you cannot hold them responsible on the floor of congress because it gets to be a big drama pool in there. Publically, we need to be respectful yes.

Watch congress, well it will put you to sleep most of the time but when they get to being dramatic it gets funny.

Nothing funny when elected officials, supposedly highly educated, Smart(well that's questionable)start name calling. They all need to grow up! Like I stated earlier they set a nice example for us.

We don't need them to set an example for us, WE need to start voting against incumbents!

Being respectful in public is just good manners taught ya by your momma.

Mo_Murinin...
"The republicans are trying to control everything going into bill now...they want it there way. It's about time the Democratics step up and make a voice. Republican's don't want to push for good change..they want to sit and make excuses as to why the WAR and spending billions and trillions of dollars is worth more than helping the U.S. Citizens. The Bill of rights no longer holds passage in today's society. They could give a crap about anyone supporting them. I don't blame him for calling the Republicans all those names. They deserve it."

Are you kidding with that response?! Republicans have ZERO power right now and IF the Dems were as serious about the issues as they claim to be they can push ANY vote that they would like.(remember what Nancy Pelosi said "We won you lost, so get over it" The only reason that the Dems aren't voting for anything across the board is bc, that they know that the bill will hold them accountable and I have never seen a Dem held accountable for anything. And don't mention the Bill of Rights when it's actually the Dems once again that are the people going against it themselves...freedom of speech with the radio, gun owner rights, illegal immigrants, forcing health care, taxing the people(that one goes both ways) on everything, or having senators say outright that they do not care what their voters think.

Just like you said only immature folks would use them for examples of anything other than the fact they are imperfect humans. Children need to be taught they are not role models so they will not grow to be like them but be the best they can be.

So now I'm immaturenoway
Shouldn't those who are elected act like grown mature adults? Bringing up a point on how immature they are acting is a valid point. And doesn't make one immature. But I find it funny those defending Grayson call some one immature, when they made a point that "being respectful in public is just good manners taught ya by your momma"slaphead

I am not defending Grayson at all. So now what??? :LOL

To look up to fallible humans is a childish act. All humans are equal and the same regardless to any circumstances. So if you are mature enough to know that, you know you cannot look up to humans.

Inspire to be the best you can be but never look up to another human as better than you.

Anyone who equates anything other than what the likes of Pol pot, Stalin, Saddam, Mahmoud, and animals like them did are mentally ill. You cannot say that what the insurance companies do is the same, what they do may be immoral, but it's not the same.

I dont know Bored, at least Saddam didnt let people die to make a financial profit,,, He killed people for his psycho principles, what are insurance companies killing people for?

I'm not going to defend insurance companies, but they follow the laws set forth by our government and do exactly as required and not anything more.
