If yuo would get off the attack, open your eyes and read what I write, and what others write, you would see I was speaking generally; Is specifically stated not all young adults live off the system. And if yours is one that is a model citizen then I applaud him AND YOU (for raising a model citizen).

BUT this attitude that the military is wrong, and that it is wrong for our childrent og o into the miilitary is nothing but pur and utter hogwash. The military, generally speaking, is one of the best things a young adult can do after highschool. Again I emphasize ONE of the best things. Each person is differnet, yes. and if they dont want the military as a choice, then they need to do whatever other option they have available.

DO NOT SIT THERE, AND STATE THAT IT IS OK FOR A PERSON TO SCRREW UP ALL HIS CHANCES AND THEN GET TICKED OFF BECAUSE HE HAS ONLY ONE OPTION LEFT. That is why we have a problem with our children, AGAIN IN GENERAL, being so lazy and unwilling to work. They have been raised this way.

Don't call me hun..my friends call me hun.rant

Push your own children into a war zone..the rest of them are not your business. My oldest son dropped out and went back and finished. He is NOT living off the system..in fact he helps me. So your judgments on others children are very harsh. Worry about your own...

yes, he is another on of your generalizations...

"Our younger citizens are, generally speaking, lazy, unmotivated, greedy and selfish. I am sorry, but that is how it is."

whoa
As a parent of 3 grown young men, I find that appalling...I would venture to say your children are very young... as for your 3rd paragraph. I don't have problems with my children...

The military is wrong for some..just because it was right for you does not mean it is for EVERONE! What is hogwash is that you feel it is alright for you to generalize all these young people and decide what YOU think is best for them.

Some might think I am anti-Mexican. I am Anti-Illegal Immigrant and totally amazed our Law Enforcers can blatantly disregard any Law they wish.

A truth about me and I don't get personal often.

My last wife is Mexican. She don't speak a lick of english. She is a legal resident. Has been for over 25 years.
She and I can't live together ande wev'e been seperated for a few years.
Her mother, my Mother-in-Law, who I adore, is dying of Pancreatic Cancer. She don't speak no english either.laugh
I moved here to be her rock and help her through the dying stages.
I also do the paper filings, translations, taxiing, and other hospice type stuff.
I don't have to stay at the house. I have my own. That gives me the time I need to recharge and get away from the dying.

My motives for advocating enforcing the Immigration Laws and raiding bussiness who hire them, is for the side of Americans and the Legal Immigrant.

I am not for anyone who breaks the law, but your posts are a constant crusade against Illegals and mainly your posts refer to Mexicans.

I say let's go after the white, educated, rich man who is making millions of dollars of those illegal immigrants hard work.

Tell me what Hussein has done to get the Illegals deported and Americans into those jobs??

laugh

Never fails, get rid of the illegals, the illegals this, the illegals that, I find it amusing. Illegals do the jobs that others dont want to do.

Stop being self righteous
stop waiting for things to get handed to you
stop thinking you are entitled
stop thinking because want it you should have it

Stop the B.S., make yourself marketable, stop sitting idly and whine about this person taking your job, making up excuses about McDonalds not hiring, about not being able to GET experience... Be responsible people... stop blaming others...

Here's a hint, enforce the laws of the big corporations, the companies that hire these illegals, you are so fond of. But wait why??? After all these are Americans living the great dream of free enterprise... laugh

Partly true. That's only because wages are held artificially low by the FED and the government. If hard labor jobs paid what they are actually worth, legals would do those jobs. It sounds like you are the one who wants "handouts". There's no reason to think that Americans are "living the great dream of free enterprise", as that dream has been regulated, inflated, and taxed almost entirely out of existence.

If Americans had stuck with the Constitutional limits on the Federal government, we wouldn't be arguing now. Atlas is shrugging indeed.

People were making pennies before minimum wage started.

By your own admission the problem was created by 'us' Americans, not by the illegals... laugh

And pennies were worth more then (they had more copper-they are now copper plated zinc), and that's what the jobs were worth-so people did them and worked their way up. (I know, cuz my ancestors did it. Lots of farmers and laborers on both sides of the family going way back, and more skilled laborers in recent generations)

The illegals working here being deported will do almost nothing for the unemployment rate.

The companies who hire the illegals do it for a reason, lower wage, no workman's comp insurance costs, no health insurance costs, etc... If they have to hire Americans they have to pay all these expenses so they will now hire 1 man to take the place of ten or more illegals. Not going to solve anything considering the illegal workforce is not even as high as the estimates have estimated.

Exactly. Control the flow of money from the greedy and self-interested corporations, and you will see all the illegals flowing out of the country as the only reason they are even here is for the money.

Go after the millions of corporations hiring these illegals, and watch the people get jobs and the economy improve.

What do you propose to do with those kids who can't afford further education, their family needs the income, drop-outs or the ones who cannot excell in school.
Euthanasia?

Exactly! The dropouts and uneducated can do the jobs that illegal aliens are supposedly "needed" for till they have enough experience to move on.

whoa they can do whatever they want...lack of education does not mean a life doomed to grunt work. I'm seeing many friends with degree's losing their jobs as of late, no guarantee's anymore.

before the invasion from the south . the drop outs and not to smarts are the ones who did the work that americans wouldn't do . another group that was displaced was kids who either needed or wanted to earn money , they also were displaced by the wet backs who are welling to work for children's wages . as far as trade school goes we already offer them trade training in high school for free .
and as far as the people who thought they had it made and the rest deserve to starve . its a karma thing . tough **** .
VIVA LA RAZA DE USA.

I would suggest things like career training, apprenticeship, and entrepreneurism. (I believe these have come to be known as 'the old-fashioned way')

If you think about it, the "jobs" as "jobs are long gone.

There is no manufacturing to speak about, no factories or large employers since everything is "made in china".

what you got today are secretarial , managerial and service jobs, but now due to the falling economy, they barely hire, and not to mention, they are very limited how many they need. they also require college degree, and even if you got a college degree, your chances (in this economy) to get hired is as good as winning the lottery.

This is also a reason why more women are still employed than men.

There are still manufacturing jobs here, I hear of them and construction is still here.

There will always be construction, manufacturing, public service, etc.. jobs here.

You got it exactly right... except a lot of the contractors are not corporations. They are just sole professorships and partnerships. However, the concept still applies.
