run lemon or orange peels in your garbage disposal to get rid of any stinky odor. Also makes your kitchen smell nice and citrusy!

You can remove candle wax from carpet with a warm iron and lots of newspaper or white paper if you have light color carpet. Put the paper down and run the iron over it keep moving the paper as the wax melts and is absorbed.

A potato cut in half is an excellent way to remove a broken light bulb in a fixture.

It does work but REMEMBER TO UNPLUG THE LAMP (no, fortunately, I do not know that from personal experience) laugh

When lighting a candle where it's burned down pretty far (like the ones in glass jars), you can use a stick of spaghetti like a match to light the wick.

When moving heavy items like dressers, take out the drawers first and move them with a dolly. This saves time and back pain. :)

How do I easily remove wallpaper? I don't want to go to Home Depot tonight for the special remover stuff they make. Thanks.slaphead

Hi Katz..I may be a tad late here...but First test the paper. Some of the newer ones come off in one big strip if u can start at an edge. If not, score the paper first, I have even used a pizza cutter if I didn't have a scorer tool. Then you add hot water and fabric softener together and spray it onto the wall. You should let it sit for a few minutes..then start scraping away with a scraper.

Inverting fresh strawberry cartons, vacume sealed dairy, and meat rays in the refrigerator to make things last longer.

Address stickers added to books, canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchair foot pegs help them return home.

Put the maps from last years phone book in a DVD case in the car.

Useing an egg carton or muffin pan to keep parts in order disassembeled can help put them back together.

Tying shoes together when you take them off makes it easy and quick to find both when dressing; especially toddlers.

If you're perming your hair or some other messy chore simply affix panty liners to your forehead, neck, etc. But if someone rings your doorbell don't forget what you look like!

Easiest way to clean your microwave...

Put a cup of water in the microwave and turn it on to make the water boil. It makes steam inside of the microwave and than you can just wipe it out. All of the hard cooked on debris inside just comes out with one wipe. No scrubbing. I know, it helps if food is covered before nuking, but sometimes all the nagging in the world does no good on teenage boys...laugh

Never thought of that, great idea! LOL
