Put rice in your salt shaker with your salt to prevent "caking." That one's from grandma. tried that one once before and it kept blocking up the holes |

Mine is Peppermint oil for ants. If you have an ant problem coming in your house, go out and get some pepperment oil (you can get it from the essential oils at cheap shops) rub the oil with a cotton ball around where they come in and viola! Sure you have the smell of peppermint for 2 or 3 days but that's much better than ants and keeps them out for months they hate it. Dryer sheets keep away the ants...I put em' in my garbage can...keeps it smellin' nice and no ants! Now if someone can give me ideas on how to keep away SPIDERS I would forever be indebted. The crawl out of nowhere in CT-LOL |

Use baking soda instead of product's like Comet. And I agree on the vinegar. It work's so much better than Lime-a-Way. No chemical's.

I use hair conditioner in a spray bottle, with water, or a small amount applied directly to my hair in order to avoid frizzies in wierd weather, and stuff, for a polished look. (not a hair out of place ever) |

to keep moles from making their trails in your yard. wherever you see the hole they came out from. drop moth balls into their holes. it repels them away. and to keep bugs from entering your house put mothballs all the way around your house on the outside up near the sides of the house

To get gum out of your hair or carpet rub with ice cubes until it is real cold then the gum should pull right out.
Peroxide takes blood out of any material, just pour some on, let set a minute or two, rinse with cold water, repeat if nessasary (probally won't be nessasary though). Tide with bleach made into a paste and gently scrubbed into stains , and set about 1/2 hour is a fantastic stain remover (grass, baby forula, ground in mud, coffee, tea ,ect..) Haven't found anything yet it won't get out and I got two teenage boys!. Simmering a pot of water daily for about 30 min.-1 hr. repalces moisture in the air 90%. Balck shoe polish is fantastic to brighten up boots (leather, pleather, plastic, ect) , black sneakers, purses, ect. ect. Just buff real good afterwards! |

For really shiny hair, in your final rinse (after conventional conditioner) rub natural yogurt into your hair then rinse throughly.
Lime and salt gets rid of rust marks from white clothing *word of warning* do not use on delicate garments. To make sticky drawers on your bureau run smoothly, rub a candle on the runners. Wash your windows with water and vinegar and buff with crumpled newspaper. This also works beautifully on car windows and prevents that "salty wash" appearance during the winter. Make soap jelly out of those little pieces of left-over soap, put all of the pieces into a heat proof bowl, pour boiling water into the bowl and stir until all of the pieces melt, leave to stand, preferably overnight. There, a nice bowl of soap. To clean the bottom of a sticky messy iron, pour a generous amount of salt unto a sheet of paper, heat the iron and vigorously "iron" the salt on the paper. Candle wax is also good for smooth action when sawing wood, rub a candle along the teeth of the saw. To prevent cakes and biscuits from sticking to your baking trays and baking tins when baking, line the tin or tray with rice paper. Another use for left over soap, place it in your underwear drawer for beautiful smelling "smalls." |
