Hi my name is Shaun. I am posting this topic because you really never
know what is going to happen in your life. One minute your ready to graduate or things are going absolutely great for you. Then comes the bad news. I just want people to enjoy every moment that life gives them. Whether it be with your friends, family, acquaintances, etc. I met this guy the beginning of my senior year in high school. We started hanging out and found out that we were so much alike its scary. I don't ever have one regret about hanging out with Nathan. I loved that guy like a brother. In fact i still do and i always will. Just this past Friday he passed away from lack of oxygen to the brain due to pneumonia. I don't have any regrets about knowing Nathan. He always kept me out of trouble. The only regret that i do have is that we didn't hang out enough. This isn't a story meant to bring anyone down. I just want people to know that they need to let whomever it may be that they love as a brother/sister, mother/father, boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. Spend as much time as you can with them. One day they may be ripped from your life far sooner than you had hoped. I am not looking for sympathy here. I learned a lesson. If you love somebody TELL THEM. They need to know. If you are reading this thinking i am some kind of a nut job. I am sorry for having offended you. I am not meaning to offend anyone by this post. I am just trying to let some experience and knowledge out so others won't make the same mistake i did. Well I want everyone who reads this and those that don't to have a great day and enjoy life. Don't worry so much about little things Your loved ones are always there for you. I know Nathan is still here for me. Maybe not physically but i bet he is helping me out from above. I hope you all have a great adventure through life and make the best of it. Best Wishes, Shaun |

Aww Shaun,
Sorry to hear about Nathan. My prayers too you and Nathan's family. You are right, for all of those that we care about...family and friends, we should tell them every chance we get how much we love them and care about them. You never know when they could be taken away from us. |

Shaun, feel for you immensly. Any loss of a sig. person in our life,
hits hard. Once experienced, you will always view life differently. We waste so much valuable time, when death happens, it shows us just how much of life is "Small Stuff." He will always be in your heart. Hope you find peace of mind. Great post' Bless you |

Shaun,
that takes a lot of courage and strength, to post on a site, in a forum, that is your very first post...and your desire to do good for others, motivated by a sense of loss....just knocks the breath out of me. You rock! Both you, and Nathan, were very blessed to have shared the time you did together... Thankyou, Lee |

Shaun your so right sad thing about it is when someone dies all of a
sudden and we do not expect it no matter what the age it seems there was so much left unsaid. Death is not and easy thing to deal with at any age. But it is even harder when the person is young that has been called home. My prayers go out to Nathan and his family as well as to you to help ya''ll through this trying time. Wish I could say the pain will go away it does get easier to deal with as time goes on. But in our hearts we must keep there memory alive try to remember the good times that will bring a smile to your face about them. But yes things like that will make one step back and look at life in a differnt way for we never know what tomorrow will bring. |

Hi Sean.
The loss of anyone close to you is indeed tragic, whether it is family, friends or even just neighbours. Losing a very close friend is indeed painful and there is a void which you feel cannot be filled. I feel for you my friend and I send my prayers for Nathan and my best wishes. Tom. |

Shaun, thank you so much for sharing your love for Nathan with us. And
you are so correct in your sentiment... I had a similar experience in 1979....but he was my fiance...and the love I had for him then...exists today...there is comfort in that...comfort in the memories of people that enter and leave our lives on a physical plane... Thank you again He will always be with you.... JJ |

Shaun,
I'm so sorry. We want to be your friends and we will help you through this time. I know that it won't be the same but we will take you in like our own family, Promise. I want to check on you later, if that is OK. You'll be in my prayers heavily. Hang in, and feel the love that we all have for you during this time, and always. michael |

We take people for granted, even our loved ones... We think that they
know we love them, but we fail to say it or act as if indeed we do. Sometimes, we even wonder if we, ourselves, are loved... Thank you for sharing this life lesson with us. We need to start hugging, kissing, talking, calling... from a song in spanish:"a person is not where the body is, but were is missed the most, and you are missed here so much". So he will always be with you. |
