That is exactly why there is the rule because if we wait to long then
forget about it. I think calling right away gives the impression that
you are a clingy person. It's like I don't even know this person and
they are already calling me when we just saw each other.

I apply the three day rule. I call sometime on the third day after I get
the number. I don't know if it's playing a game it's just the way I do
it. Don't want to call too soon and sound desperate and you don't want
to call after waiting to long and have to remind them who you are.

It all depends on the situation if you are talking all night and
enjoying each other than call at will. If there was already some kind of
connection established then you can call anytime. If it was just a brief
encounter then wait a few days.
