were you to log on tomorrow and go to your favourite news sites and all of them carried the breaking news that scientists have conclusively found life elsewhere in the universe... how would things change here on earth after that?

Only drama wise. I dont think anything would change, we have video of proof, sightings, not much is different for us now.
There have been reportings before on tv, and in newspaper. |

They have already found the amino acids in a comet(2004)...no liquid water to get it started though.Seeds floating endlessly waiting for the right place to root.Our ancient ancestors....
