That is a tough one, but I believe to tell them I don't would be harder.

The later for me would be very painful & difficult however truthfulness is always the right & appropriate choice.

SO easy for me to say I love a person if I do ...
... Difficult to let someone down, even gently ... Hate the sound of a breaking heart ... |

It's so hard when someone says they love you and you just aren't feeling it. I tell them that I'm very flattered, but I just don't feel that way about them.

To tell them that I love them in the first place.
I've been burned so many times that I am over cautious about saying it now. * shrugs * |

To tell them that I love them in the first place. I've been burned so many times that I am over cautious about saying it now. * shrugs * Same here. I can say "I don't love you" all day long (if that's really the case) and it's no big deal. But to say "I love you" to anybody anymore -- that just opens up some doors that need to stay locked. |

But to say "I love you" to anybody anymore -- that just opens up some doors that need to stay locked. I do feel you, Lex; truly do ... Wise, wise ... Alas and alack ... |

to tell someone you love them or that you do not love them back? neither. i'm all about honesty... the hardest part would be falling in love in the first place. |

But to say "I love you" to anybody anymore -- that just opens up some doors that need to stay locked. I do feel you, Lex; truly do ... Wise, wise ... Alas and alack ... Equivalent (for all practical purposes) to the declaration: "You now have my permission to chop me up into an infinite number of minuscule pieces" -- this is hardly rational. Particularly since providing a go-ahead of this nature seems, inevitably, to result in them going ahead in that very direction. Just one guy's experience(s). |
