There are girls/women that play games, most of them just aren't as open about it as guys are, and a few just don't think that what they do is concidered gaming.

i think most females play video games the way it should be having fun i know a couple of friends (male) who will be cursing at the tv filled with a competion drive and ready to smash the tv when they lose . you get better competition playing with them but if you play with femles you may end up getting somthing nothing else can match

And Manda951, thats good that you get competitive, it means that you are really getting into the game. And thats sexy.

Video games are so embedded in culture that I find it uncommon that girls can't at least hold their own in the average game anymore... unless they're reluctant to try.

In terms of getting my *** kicked in them... it's actually kinda neat. I can't remember being jealous of a girl being better at a video game than me since Mario 3 came out and the girl next door figured out how to find the magic whistles first.

On the other hand, I dated a girl for awhile that was bizarrely good at Tetris, and that became unbelievably annoying. That song is still etched in my head... hours with her on level 20 while I waited helplessly on level 7 or something for that long Tetris block to save me only to get that damned square.

Give and take sort of thing, I think.

My friends used to make fun of me for how much I played video games or knew about video games, but I was proud of it. Then, I dated a girl who knew a bajillion times more than me and I felt like less of a man.

On another note, why is it "hot" when a girl plays video games, but dorky/nerdy/geeky/whateverthehellyouwanttocallit when a guy does? I don't understand.

Its funny when playing a game online (I.E. Call of Duty) and your in the room right before a match and a girl starts talking. All the guys start getting all excited and what not. You can tell the ones who dont have social lives.

I love all the Mario games, I used to have a nintendo, super, N64, and play station 2, but I traded them in for my xbox 360, and I have a wii and a ds. lol

You should trade those in for a PS3...lol.

Ahhh...just start playing Call Of Duty and you'll be addicted. I didnt care for FPS's much either until I picked this game up.

Oh no. See, I love them. Max Payne, yeah, HOURS devoted to that game. Aggravated me so much I broke my controller.

But I do love some Halo. Only online with my friends though. Heh.
