Topic: Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990 | |
---|---|
This thread should be moved to the humor section, since it is satire. wait wait wait...this is humorous?? I did report the thread as needing to be moved. And I noted that while it isn't funny, the section that this would most likely fit into would be the humor section. I find nothing nothing funny about false accusations, but some people have a different sense of humor than I do. Well maybe would should look at some of the skeletons in Glenn Beck's closet for a few 'laughs'. <---- note the quote marks, denoting irony Like the time he mocked a woman's miscarriage on his live radio program, cruelly telling her that it looked like her husband (a rival of his) 'couldn't do anything right.' Google it for all the sordid details. -Kerry O. |

You know these sort of news really test out the general stupidity of the people. I went to check the original link and it spells out clearly, that it's nothing but propaganda. If someone would actually read and think, would know immediately that it's a prank.
Notice: This site is parody/satire. We assume Glenn Beck did not rape and murder a young girl in 1990, although we haven't yet seen proof that he didn't. But we think Glenn Beck definitely uses tactics like this to spread lies and misinformation. Read the last sentence again. That's the point. Read it a third time and ignore the name of the site itself, because anyone who believes that we're trying to actually get people to believe Glenn Beck raped and/or murdered is *whoosh* missing the entire point. So don't be dumb like a lot of people are. I greatly expanded this text because so many people *read* it, and *still* didn't understand. http://www.citmedialaw.org/threats/beck-v-eiland-hall#description It's neither the left or the right fault, or the web news, it's just I'm sad about the low level of intelligence and stupid ideas that has taken over this country, people are ready to tear each other hair out over stupid politicans and stupid websites. |

That doesn't mean he raped and murdered someone and it doesn't mean that their "joke" is funny. |

I don't think the topic of the original post could be called a joke. It's simply using an extreme to demonstrate how Glenn Beck creates falicious arguments. And I think it makes the point pretty well. However I still find it distasteful. I don't care for Beck, but I don't know enough about the man to know if a very hurtful 'joke' he made 20 years ago is indicative of his character today. |

It's simply using an extreme to demonstrate how Glenn Beck creates falicious arguments. It would satisfy my intellectual curiosity to hear the details of a few of these fallacious arguments, not read libel in the guise of satire. |

I just posted a part of history that shows Beck's sense of 'humor' may be part of the reason someone thought maybe Beck should get some of his own medicine. Not that two wrongs make a right, but sometimes what goes around comes around, doesn't it? If you were to research Beck's past, you'd know he was basically a shock jock and 'morning zoomaster' famous for perpetrating hoaxes and publicity stunts, some not so nice. Sounds like instant karma to me... -Kerry O. |

Dude, Obama is a Commie. And while your at it, can u tell me who George Carver, Alan Keys, Jerry Curry and Booker Washington are/were? Without looking them up? Do it, I'll be so impressed you just don't know. Maby you can shed a little light on how the Obamanation of Desolation's terrorist buddy thinks it's peachy to kill off several hundred thousand Americans in, "re-education camps", in order to bring the rest around. Scary FACT.

Glenn Beck's sobbing secrets revealed: A little Vicks Vaporub gets the tears flowing By David Neiwert Friday Oct 02, 2009 9:00am This was too funny to pass up. We've known all along that Glenn Beck is a two-bit phony. Now we see how Glenn Beck gets himself properly weepy for the cameras: A little Vicks Vaporub. One might dismiss this as merely a one-off for this shoot. But you can hear Beck himself say: Beck: I think it's getting used to it -- my eyes are getting used to it. From regular and continuous use, mayhaps? The whole scene reminds us that Beck practices his schtick over and over before he performs. Which means he's gotten real good at working up those tears and choking up to say, "I love my country -- but I fear for it!" watch the Vid at http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/glenn-becks-sobbing-secrets-revealed The Vics Vaporub. No, even the source, which you quoted, made the point that, "we think Glenn Beck definitely uses tactics like this to spread lies and misinformation." Which IS political, and therefore falls under this heading. What's also political and news is that Glenn Beck called President Obama a racist. And after that, some of his biggest sponsors had had enough and pulled their advertising. Oh, and another thing: if we follow your reasoning, one could ask why the postings of many of the conservative posters on here with doctored-up pictures which ridicule Obama (or worse) shouldn't similarly be moved to "Humor". Works both ways, doesn't it? -Kerry O. |

Great news today in our campaign against Glenn Beck. We're announcing that nineteen more of Beck's advertisers have stopped supporting his show. That number includes two British companies who just announced that they've pulled their ads from the U.K. broadcast of Beck's show after hearing from customers.
Two companies -- Waitrose (the British supermarket chain) and Metropolitan Talent Management -- pulled their ads not only from Beck's show, but from Fox News in general. Over 280,000 of us have now called on advertisers to stop supporting Beck's show. We are keeping Beck isolated and making sure that he continues to be a financial liability for Fox. Eventually, Fox will have to explain why they are continuing to give Beck's race-baiting and fear-mongering a platform even as it hurts their bottom line. Here's the full list of new companies ditching Beck: AmMed Direct, Citrix Online, Concord Music Group, Diageo, Eggland's Best, Equifax, Eulactol USA (producer of Flexitol), GetARoom.com, Hoffman La Roche (maker of BONIVA), Metropolitan Talent Management, ooVoo, Overture Films, Scarguard, Schiff Nutrition (maker of Tiger's Milk and Fi-Bar), Seoul Metropolitan Government, Subaru, Toyota-Lexus, Waitrose and Woodland Power Products, Inc. From the press release we're sending today: Comments from advertisers recently distancing themselves from Beck: "We will not be airing on that show [Glenn Beck] any longer," said Michael McHale, Director of Corporate Communications for Subaru of America, in a phone conversation with ColorOfChange.org. "Lexus ads are not appearing on the Glenn Beck show," said Nancy Hubbell, Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-rucker/19-more-advertisers-ditch_b_311256.html |
