Topic: Have you ever been accused of being too nice? | |
---|---|
It happened to me last night. I was accused last night by two of my
female bosses that I was too nice. It confused me. I just tried to do my job every night and was working with another female. I'll admit that this female I was working with was cute, young but married. Unlike this cute, young but married female I just do my job and don't ***** continuously. I ***** some but not continuously. I was worried about a battle of the sexes thing going to happen since I am a minority there being male. The cute, young but married female got fired from missing too much work and pawning all her duties on others. Now that the two bosses have given their two weeks notices because they got a better deal because of pay I talked to them last night. They asked me why I let her walk all over me. I explained that I had went to college with her. They said that they, the two bosses went to school together, too but each did their own job. Somehow I feel as I lost my minority status. I was wondering if anybody else has been accused of being too nice. |

Strange thing was it was her that they thought was immature and not me
this time. That was sure different from the past for me. |

Yes I'm been accused quite often for doing things for people that keep
walking all over me. The one thing that comes to mind though is when I used to drive a wheelchair bus, taking children with special needs to school. A fellow driver came running to my bus yelling that I was too nice by taking the children inside the door instead of letting the teachers do it. And that I was screwing it up for all the other drivers. beleive you-me, this driver could have used the exercise. |

I get told that all the time too. I tried to change because I was tired
of hearing it, but then was called a B****. So I went back to being nice, I can't help it!! |

I remember the short bus we had at school when I drove the big bus for
the school. However, where I work they have a different definition for the short bus. The short bus takes residents to the psych ward. One resident was in her wheelchair in the hall telling each door who she was was and asking what time the bus would come through while we were in the nursing home. An aide I was working with told her that the short bus would be along directly. |

I have been accused of that as well. The ONLY thing that bothers me about that is when people take advantage of the fact that I have a BIG heart.... -Joanne |
