i've seen people complain about meeting someone on a dating site such as this one alleges to be, and then on seeing them in person, they look nothing like their pictures. with such indignation, these people say that it's not about their looks but the fact that they were being dishonest by displaying a picture that isn't up-to-date etc.

so i was wondering...

would that same attitude be prevail if the person turned out to look better than their pictures? huh

If in fact they look better then their picture that would be and added pleasure. bigsmile

I have had those dates where the other did not look nothing like their picture not only that was shorter then they stated shshs

But ............I still did enjoy the meet and had plenty of laughs you make it out to be what you want to even though it was not there I did not see any reason to make it uncomfortable for either of us. But........I did ask him what happen to the full head of hair he was suppose to have we did have a good laugh on that one hummm it was a toupee he was sporting in the picture lol:laughing:

it just seems hypocritical to me.

why not let it be known that you just don't want to date unattractive people

I have many times, I am not going to accept a complete dog, but I do not want a woman that is a 10 and knows it!!
Nothing worse than listening to a woman that has to tell you how hot she is!!
I just can't stand the attitude of most really pretty women.

Dancere looks even better than her profile pictures in real life, even the old ones!!! I was very pleasantly surprised at the honest accuracy....bigsmile

Thats exactly it!!!

JUST BE HONEST!

i think it's nothing to do with honesty.

EVERYONE puts up the most flattering picture they can.

it's more to do with not wanting to date an unattractive person. plain and simple...

but people choose to mask that unpleasant reality by trying to claim moral superiority.

if someone looks better than their picture, that still is dishonesty... but somehow, no one cares laugh

its a bullshizz lie.

its all about looks.

people expect to SEE one person and end up SEEING another. that makes them feel lied to.

but if the lie benefited them, they wouldn't give a fig over it.

so yes.. its about the looks.

Sure, looks help a lot, but if I show up and she's raging b*tch (feel free to insert some other glaring character flaw) and I'm not having a good time, it doesn't matter if she's a perfect 10. Don't expect me to call for a second date/meeting.

no one would expect you to either. hell i remember walking out on a date becuase a guy talked to my breasts all night long. its like come on people have some class. but thats not the point.

the point is if you saw a pic, and that pic was a good one, and then you saw the person and that person was just a hot mess... would you be pissed? and what if the real person was nothin like the picture but betteR? would you still be mad?

its like what part of the photo lie would you accept?

If they were less attractive, it'd be an underhanded lie. I might ride out the date, see how it goes, but a lot of the interest would be killed.

If they were more attractive, I'd be confused, pleasantly surprised, but I'd look for an explanation. If I'm not looking for anything serious, it'd probably be ok. If I am, it'd be a problem, because clearly this person has no problem lying and I have no interest in GUESSING how she feels and thinks because I have no idea if she's being honest with me or not.

EVERYONE puts up the most flattering picture they can.

Maybe so...
However...some of us at least put up the most flattering RECENT pictures.

My pictures are recent, and exactly what I look like.
decent some days and look bad some days.. such as fishing days.
I included pictures of both.

HONESTY!!!

But it is not honest to only put thin pictures in a profile when you are over 200 pounds. and even more dishonest to not tell the other party if thinking about setting up a meet.

Ohhh but the problem was not he was missing a tad of hair lmao in the picture he had a full head of dark brown hair in person it was about 1/2 " long and gray he stated he was 5'10 in person we were looking eye to eye and let me tell ya I'm only 5'3noway

I asked how long ago the picture was taken he sent it to me by text so I thought he had just taken the picture but it was only 6 months prior..... so yes it was and eye opener lmao he was nothing as he portrayed himself he did have a good personality but it was just not there....
