Topic: people lying about their looks

My photos are less than 2 months old. <<<this one is a couple of weeks, if that. If a person turned out to be better looking than their photo? I don't think that is likely what if they don't own a camera and the only pictures they have are from a time before a recent weight loss? or what if the person has a wicked/self-deprecating sense of humour? admittedly, i know little about online dating because i never have and never plan to actually do it... but is it really that unlikely for someone to look better than their pics? Yes, I think so. I have never heard of such a thing. Although, there is that 1% chance, but I don't think he will be the one I get to meet!!! lol

Actually i have met a lot of people from online, albeit not for dating or romantic purposes, and i thought several of them looked better in person. In fact more people looked better in person, than looked worse. Most people did look how i imagined they would though.

Ah ffs, it's just a picture. We are all making this really WAY too difficult. Pictures from 15 years ago should be a little obvious to most. Throw up a bunch of recent ones, including full body shots and call it a day. Don't mean to be grumpy, but I'm so over this whole picture thing. It's just one in a huge list of things so many people have to checkmark before they actually will have a conversation. If you met someone in person, in real life, do you not think they might tell some little white lies to make themselves appear more attractive to you as well? Pretty much everyone tries to downplay their bad habits or their idiosyncrasies. I don't think the majority of people do it to be evil or dishonest. It's just regular folks trying to make themselves look good in order to get a date. If they look better than their pictures.....good for them!
