Some people are just naturally inherently suspicious by nature, who simply assume that everybody else (especially those who pay compliments) have an ulterior motive. I refuse to play that game. If I offer a sincere compliment, and they raise an eyebrow about it, I just pooh-pooh them away and move along. I don't have time for that. I have better things to do. They can be suspicious all they want, as is their right. They can just do it on their own time, not mine.

Shshshshs your so wrong Bry heck I want fight over no man heck if they want to go they will go no matter what if they want to stay they will. And for one to tell me what to go do it want happen now ask me and hey I'm there.....
But back to the topic, myself if someone pays me a compliment I will always say thank you and will talk to them if they can in fact keep my attention then I will keep talking to them. At times if one only has small talk then it gets boring and you tend to move on. But now if a guy comes in and wants to say hi to you a simple hello will do. So many times the ones that are players start out with the compliments so maybe this is why that age group seems to back off from you it is and old line that has been heard a million times. Come up with something original or just stick to the standard hello and go from there. Maybe talking about the environment your in at the time. But now if you are really sincere with your compliment it is a different story believe me it is not that hard to tell who is sincere and who is just saying the same old line to everyone they meet. JMO And yeah I do fall in that category your speaking of but I prefer to call it in the "Prime of Life" instead.....
