Topic: A song I wrote | |
---|---|
A while back, when I heard about Bo Diddly's death I wrote this song as a sort of tribute to him. What do you guys think of it?
I was born in a bait of butcher knives, Born to be the greatest man alive, I was playing guitar by the age of five, And when I bend them strings all the girls start crying, So all you women throw your men outside, I'm gonna love you real good 'till your satisfied, I'm big and mean so don't you give me no lip, Got a coly .45 on my right hip, I wear a black leather jacket and snake skin boots, And I don't play nothing but Texas Blues, So all you women throw your men outside, I'm gonna love you real good 'till your satisfied, I use a red hot coal to light my cigar, I drive a great big long black Cadillac car, I drink hot coffee right from the pot, And when I start loving I just can't stop, So all you women throw your men outside, I'm gonna love you real good 'till your satisfied. |

Hey Scoundrel,
I don't know a lot about Bo Diddly, but I think ya done a right fine job here. There are a couple of spots where the flow gets a lil choppy, but I think if ya keep rollin through it out loud, you'll find 'em and fix that - no prob! Again, nice job! |

Thanks everyone. For the ones that don't understand they flow, I assure you you it does flow when sung to a Bo Diddly rhythm. It has a sort of latan feel mostly over one chord.
Think George Thorogood's cover of "Who do You Love." |

Actually, I read it to the tune of "Hot Rod Lincoln".
