My grandfather.

He was always so calm and friendly to everyone. Always had a smile on
his face and he was always so cool about everything.
He definitely taught me how to be a good person.

My Dad, who visits my mom 3 times a day to feed her in a rest home
because she has alzheimers.

A homeless person inspired me, way, way back in the mists of my youth...

He spent his day tipping his hat and smiling to all, asking for nothing,
but collecting bits and pieces, others' rubbish, and thrown away
objects...rubbish on the streets went into bins...and usable stuff went
into charity bins.

He was a 'straightener', a 'tidier', created order in a meesy world.

Gently and quietly, just went about his day, doing his thing..

...and if you were really lucky, he sang for you..voice like silk, rich
and deep timbred...

He taught me to DO, not talk about it.

My nephew David, after his accident he never once got down or depressed,
just kept pressing on even when the doctors told him you will never walk
again..He walks now..he has such determination and perseverance, he
embodies the word courage in my eyes.
