AS A TRAINED COUNSELOR YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO KEEP PARTICULARS OF YOUR CLIENT CONFIDENTIAL AND ONLY DIVULGE IF REQUESTED LEGALLY.

did she ever say she was trained? it was too long and confusing for me to read all of it, but i'm not sure if she said she was trained. anyone can claim to be a counselor, hell i "counsel" people all the time for free, and i have no training at all.laugh

I counsel people for free as well, but I don't pop onto a forum and divulge everything we talk about. That isn't my place of business, I'm merely here to talk too and I will listen, I'm not going to embarass the person or situation by posting it on the internet where anyone can read it.

So if I told you I need therapy would you give it to me?

This lady gave NO IDENTITIES OF HER CLIENTS AWAY, she could very well of made this all up..
Had she given names or places that were of a personal conflict of sharing them,,,,THEN,,THIS WOULD REFER, otherwise,,she has spoken hypothetically, even though she said it was a factorial conversation

And NO,,THIS is only my views as I have no doctorate in law as well, wink,,

But EVERYONE on here has the right to make a careless mistake,w/o all of us wanting to attack their views or posts..

As long as I have been alone it would be real easy to be jaded and say few men care...I'm just not buying that. There are a lot of good men out there as there are good women...and we all are pretty much looking for the same thing.
This seems to be a very young insecure couple..I don't think it applies to all of us..

Might be an old fashioned concept but before you put your feet in the air for somebody have a ring on your finger.

We have all had experiences that make us jaded or synical for a time. The struggle is to not allow those experiences to permanently handicap us. And we need to take great care not to infect others with our bad relationship virus....no reason they should suffer just because we did. Learning from our experiences an helping others to as well is one thing, but we need to make sure we are on the other side of the flood waters and know how to get there before we try to guide others along the way.

discussing any details is illegal regardless
careless mistake? must have taken her a good few minutes to type it
Any way we said what we needed the rest is her responsibility.
I know a bit about this through my own experiences.

Sounds like another post-modern dysfunctional relationship doomed to drag on for at least another couple of yrs before Mom gets smart and either sues for child support, or the guy just disappears.

I don't know ANY counseling professional that would outline a client situation, identifying features or not, in a on-line forum. Whoever said illegal is right.

Whoever said that the "Advice" was seriously flawed is right. A good counselor might ask the patient if the relationship felt like it was loving ect. but they would not assign the patients actions as love or healthy.

Sounds like someone promoteing their own agenda or seeking attention.

As far as getting the ring first versus having sex by choice as a single woman kind of hinges on wheather I have the where withall to suffer the consequences of that choice or not. Personally from having experienced divorce having kids, so being single with a kid I recommend limiting having kids until you can support them on your own and not count on a ring as all that much protection. It is better than nothing but if you think society is going to take care of you because you "play by the rules" you are deludeing yourself.

Just because someone did the morally correct thing by trying to provide for a child that they fathered in no way indicates a loving relationship for the mother or for the child either as far as that goes. And had you counseled me and I found the particulars in a forum on the net you would soon find youself in court. It is illegal, it is unethical, and you should be ashamed because this person obviously trusted your discretion.

FOR SHAME~
