My children are angels compared to what I was like at their ages. I was partying all of the time.
Neither one of my children drink much, I think the impact of having a father who got drunk every weekend, and did some pretty wild things when they were young left a lasting impression. I am thankful that both of them are how they are. They aren't perfect and I am proud of them.

Last time I went out...took my sis and her friend out to celebrate her divorce....first bar we hit was nothing but kids with the bagging pants, gangstah rap music blaring and not a damned one of them knowing how to wear a hat....Got nothing but a blank stare from the waitress when I asked "What grade are these guys in?"
But, 12 minutes and 8 miles later, found a nice little bar with a band that played classics....when the crowd erupts for "Brown Eyed Girl"...I know I am in the right spot. |

I haaven't been to a bar since I moved to Florida. I don't have a vehicle, and I don't know which ones to go to. Down here certain nights at different bars are for gays only. I think I need to get Fifer over here so I have someone to go out with. Then we can compare the men.

If the OP is are there places and adult can go, relax, and have a little fun with out obnoxious teenagers and 20 somthing wanna be grown ups can't say I know where it is.

all i can say is we were all teenagers and i'm sure most of us acted like teenagers.people can say "oh if you bring them up right" and blah blah blah. parents forget teenagers have friends and they play a role in the actions of their kid.also once they walk out that door they can tell you anything you want to hear.. again remember we were teenagers too

I think everyone deserves a place to hang out. Would you rather have 16 year olds sneaking around in there car drinking. Thats what we used to do........

Hello people, I'm here today to ask a simple question, "Can the grownfolks play?" Are you really done with the so called"18 to party" theme? I really am. It only puts kids male and female in harms way. These kids can't hold their alcohol. The'yre fighting,& killing eachother. The young women are being stalked by grown drunk men. Who are buying them alcohol. They're driving drunk and killing themselves and others. And where's the parents? Most of them are in the bar too, buying drinks for underage drinkers & for kids that just aren't "Mature Enough" to party. Really people,"CAN THE GROWN FOLKS PLAY, with out HAVING TO BABYSIT? Who's idea was this anyway? I don't drink, and I don't go to bars. I haven't touched alcohol since I was 22, and I never will again. And the fact that I don't drink puts me in an absolutely minuscule minority on dating sites -- |

Nope that is why I let mine drink at home at that time at least I knew where they where. My son even had his prom party at my house with out a hitch they all had a great time. Myself I stayed at a hotel just down the street.  Then when his girlfriend graduated she had her prom party here as well and I did the same thing...

Maybe this is a dumb question but
How many adults can say that they: 1. Never drank while under age? I ONLY drank alcohol whilst underage...I stopped when I turned 18. 2. Never drove while drunk? Nope never done that....ridden a pushbike drunk though, that was fun. 3. Never tried reefer? I grew up in the 70's beachside culture in australia...with primo Indonesian bud in abundance. 4. Never had sex before they were married or a legal adult? I thought sex stopped when you were married, and here the legal age of consent is 16. Doesn't make me less of a 'groan' up.

Two; I started drinking when I was 11, but because I was taught responsibility I have never driven drunk...I just walk when I'm halfway blacked out and wakeup in a Albertsons some odd hundred miles away from where I started drinking in the first place. Three; you are overgeneralizing and placing all blame on parents...and four; I've seen more adults not being able to hold their drinks then I've seen kids... |

I never drove drunk. All the others I've done, but then again number four doesn't apply to me...I'm smart enough to know marriage isn't for me.
