Is it insulting to refer to a woman as woman. Some examples- Chill woman, or D*mmit woman, you're sexy. I realize that when a lady cooks for you, it'll piss anyone off to say,"D*mmit woman it's cold." and slide the plate across the table. But when it's meant in fun, is it sexist?

it depends on who is saying it ... and to whom it is said. Sounds vague but it's true!

I would only use it on a friend or family. If I had a girlfriend I would probably use it on her unless it really pissed her off.

I had no idea. I call my mom woman all the time. I've always thought of it as satire on how far we've come as a species, and she just laughs it off as a part of my twisted sense of humor.

Someone who likes you might take it in jest but it is generally rude 7 or desrespectful in the examples you used.

I dunno, I think it would be sexy if my man said "damnit woman you're sexy" if the look went with the words and it was an appropriate time/place. I like to know I drive my man crazy with desire.
