Sammy Davis Jr was black and Jewish. So, what is the point here? Does that mean there should be federal funding/grants for churches with a congregation that believes Jesus was black? I don't care if Jesus was Burnt Sienna, He is my Lord & Savior.

It would be interesting to walk into all the churches, and see predominant pictures of a black \ mixed race Jesus. Portraits, sculpture, and other artistic representations.

Personally I think most bible figures were dark skinned people. I'm a mixture of many races. At one point the crowd questioned if Jesus was a Samaritan, which were considered ethically mixed. The Jews made there exodus from Egypt which had encompassed many ethic races\groups.
Therefore the Jews would have been a mixture of many races.

Can you prove he didnt exist. I can look to nature and know theres a God. look at the human cell,im told we only really know about 2% of what a cell really is, but yet a human is formed from one. My proof is that the Bible says he existed and also claims to be written or inspired by God. That statement is the truth or a lie and if a lie than nothing could ever be quoted from it,EVER.

I really beleive that one of our greatest spiritual tests here is to see beyond, to be colorblind. What does it matter? Yet it has been one of the greatest obstacles to our growth as spiritual beings for many. The same with all the religious zealots on whose religion is truth, both causing bloodshed and heartbreak in it's wake. Such a sad waste of time and energy.

if the Messiah is black, red or colored, however you choose to word it, then that means He was not white. He was not even lightskinned. If He is middle eastern then He definetely is colored. He is described, according to the scripture as having wool hair and burned skin.

This shed's some light on the question i posted in another forum. Who are the Children of Yisrael? They are obviously a people of different color of brown. But they are not white. so that means the european jews are not really jews. they are imposters. Then why are they pretending to be Judah if theyre not. according to as posted Jeremiah 14: 2 Judah is black.

Well , thats one tribe down. 11 more to go. I guess all the other brown and red people make up the other tribes.

thanks for posting this.

P.S. The Savior of the World is Black or darksinned, red or a man with color. Point is He was not white with long blonde, or brown stringy hair, with big blue eyes like the Nordics (aliens) nor did He have pale white skin. He had hair like wool, and feet like burned brass. HALLELUYAH! TO THE MOST HIGH GOD.

He is wrongly portrayed, and has been ignorantly portrayed by those who insist on SUPPRESSING TRUTHS. The truth is not in you, if you do not stop reverencing those false images (idolatry) of Christ as your savior.

In response to your reply, the passages and theological statements where removed from the teachings of the Book of Mormon in 1978, thus allowing Blacks (aka. African Americans) to participate in synagogue rituals, since, unheard of before the death of Joseph Smith but enacted after Bringham Young assumed authority over the Latter Day Saints and the church's relocation to the Utah terrority.

If one believes that Jesus was the son of God ( as I do ), than spiritually speaking his 'race' should not matter.

That being said, when we are such a culture of visual media, I believe it DOES impact children if they see one image of Jesus throughout their lives if it does not at all seem to be a reflection of them on any level. I think Jesus was most likely not quite similar to ANY americans of any race. I believe Eden was in AFrica and we all stem from that continent but by that belief, technically, angelina jolie should be considered african american too. Its a very complex debate which I dont think either side can prove very well.
