My two favorites... Cabernet souvignon blanc, (white wine) And always a good ole plain merlot works best with red meats... Especially prime rib, and fillet mignon.

Go to your local wine shop. Tell the guy what you are looking for, sweet, dry, fruity, full bodied ,price range, whatever, and have him recommend several then take a chance. Or go to a wine tasting party and try and find something you like there. Also a good place to meet new folks. |

Ballatore Spumanti... good for any occasion...
or just to unwind... also any Columbia Riesling all of the above chilled of course... these are white wines... as I have a bit of a sweet tooth... sorry, but according to the red wine specialists..they need to be served at room temp... I cannot tolerate room temperature wine... so I guess I prefer white which is sociallly acceptable to drink chilled. |

Pinot Noir, Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon... They all have more of a sweeter taste not dry... Zinfandel (not White Zin) is good but a bit bolder sort of a pepper zap with some...
