Fear going into the "friend zone" if you dont act on a girl quick enough?

If you DO fear it, how long do you think is too long?

At which point do you wait to?

i never get out of the "friend zone" .i think now i fear more getting into a relationship because leaving the "friends zone" would be a big change for me

I think I try and make it pretty clear I am interested so that doesn't happen, so I guess I try and not let the friend zone even pop up.

Ok 1 question at a time please.
I think my brain is smoking.
I think if you were meant to have anything more than a friendship with someone it will happen.

Did I just post a topic asking men to express their fears?

I agree with the first poster. The friends zone is something that men put women into. What I find ironic is that if women only want a man as a 'friend', guys are meant to feel inferior or like they're not real men. Yet, when I tell a female I like her just as a friend, not necessarily in a romantic way, I get chastized for being a player, not wanting to commit, being too picky, etc...

I can tell right off the bat whether I'd like a girl as a friend or someone to date. It's hard to explain why you like someone as a friend or as someone you want to have as a girlfriend/boyfriend.

I like men better as well... they are so darn cute and useful sometimes tongue2

I think my issue is that I will wait long enough to make sure I have their respect... Apparently if you don't play footsies and bat your eyelashes at guys they have NO CLUE slaphead

I have very few male friends that dont want to persue something more, and in my experience, they fade out of my life eventually.

This question was spawned from me reading a guys post that he was afraid of the friend zone.

I agree, BUT if you put them in your friends only list, you shouldn't lead the person on to believe that you are wanting more then just friends. I think thats where the stereotyping comes into play.

Mmm Men love
But alas, I'm always just a friend. Some of my guy friends have actually said "Nah, Ra, you're just a cool dude with long hair."
How much does that suck? A lot. C'est la vie right?

I get the feeling some men want to make the move to be romantic quickly because they are afraid of becoming "just a friend".

THATS not true in my case.. I would just probably ditch him all together. laugh

(Now this is a guy in my area, not a long distance friend, I can DO long distance male friends ok.)
