I walked through the flowers
like many times before.
There sweet aroma breathing life
renewing my soul.
Trees stretching high and wide
sharing, giving their grace
of shade.
A cool breeze spins it's magic
down each and every trail
following, whispering like
a child's prayer.
Statues to the left
statues to the right
A testament to the imagination
through another mans sight.
Creeks flowing, twisting, turning
not reveling it's wounder
all at one time.
Turtles playing in the shallow
Cat tales swaying in time with the breeze.
While bees are making honey
from sweet nectar from flowers and the trees.
So many great wounders.
I have seen many times.
God has blessed many things in this garden,
this is plain to see.
But the biggest blessing of all
was when He let you walk there with me.
I felt so proud, so alive inside.
To think that God gave you to me to walk
by my side.
The garden had never been more beautiful,
than when I saw you in there.
Sweet smile, little laughter
and beautiful blond hair.
It may be for a day
it may be for life
But every time I walk through the garden
I will think of the day
When God shared His sunshine and
sent you my way.

Wow, you wrote that for me. I too enjoyed our walk in the garden but alas I have been left speechless. It was not just any walk in a garden but a moment of connection, that I felt when we were enjoying all the beauty that surrounded us. My thoughts at the moment were of awe and total amazement to meet someone who felt as I did, enjoyed the same things, and you truly do complete me. Jay, meeting you has made me a believer that my dreams and wishes can be fulfilled, most likely God has a hand in this for both of us.I am so thankful that God sent you my way, he does know me and knew exactly what I needed and it was you. It was a moment of connection, that I felt to Darla. It is no wounder that the other night we found ourselves finishing each others sentence. I feel we must be kindred spirit/soul mates or something very special that doesn't come along but once.
The poem just pored out as I thought of how special the day was because of you. I am looking forward to many more wonderful times with you no matter what we are doing.

I am the unbelievably fortunate one here. God knew my hearts desire and he blessed me beyond my wildest dreams when he sent Jay into my life and we walked through that garden and discovered that we were kindred spirits on the brink of a whole new and wondrous life together. If you dream of that special someone who will brighten your days and bring meaning to your life, have faith, because if it can happen to me it can happen to you. Jay, you have proven your love and I will do all that I can to make you happy. I wish that I had the talent to write beautiful poetry and Jay not only writes it, he is poetry.
