I love the ones that say "no baggage or drama". Uh, if you're breathing you have some type of baggage and drama to some extent, it's how you deal with it, and that you don't let it run your life, or even worse let it affect others around you.

WORD! Have a beer on me! drinker

And the older ya are, the more baggage ya got. Of course, for those who have actually grown up, the older ya are, the better you've gotten at handling that baggage, too.

I know Eq... why the hell are guys so issued about talking about themselves? I mean, how else are we gonna get to know them anyway? Makes no sense! frustrated

Ya know what I've noticed? 9 out of 10 guys' profiles say maybe one or two lines. I'd like to read a little more than that about a guy, ya know?

Shouldn't take more than a line or two.

IF the right person reads it.

Ain't that what we are all looking for... Someone thats right for us and we them?

Yeah, but how can anyone get to know who you are even CLOSE to enough with a couple lines?

It's an introduction not a life story.

Men had read my old pro word for word

Then cried cause they didn't fit the criteria

So I changed it to a total generic one

Getting 10x the responses!!!

I get the same - "what do you like to do" or "what are you into?" My personal favorite is "what are you looking for out here?". I usually reply with something off the wall like "Well, I keep hunting for a purple rhinoceros but haven't managed to find one of those, so guess I'll settle for talking to you". Oddly enough, they rarely email me back *sigh*

Works in the real world.

Yes, but in order to decide weather you even WANT to talk to him you have to have more than a couple lines to go on. At least, I do.

I just love the ones that seem like they are applying to the league of men.As in, i like:UFC,FISHING,FOOTBALL,RIDING QUADS.That's great but im not lookin' for a dude. Also,i agree with Dan.drinker

Now, I don't know there. I do enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, etc. I'm very much the tomboy, even now, and prefer outdoorsy stuff and that, tho not hunting. I have motorcycles listed as I hope to pick up a safety course and actually learn how. In the meantime, I'll happily oogle over a guys bike. It's not that I want to join the guys club, but my interest is really there.

Take a chance. It's a casual chat on the internet not a lifetime commitment.

The ones who are worth it will.

I am so off the wall that I don't even notice how weird I am half the time anymore. Until I'm in some social situation and say something that, to me, is perfectly normal (cuz I do it all the time), and get the huh or surprised response. Then I'm like "Oh yeah, that's not normal, is it?"

Course, I don't want a normal guy anyway. If a guy were to reply to my weirdness in-kind, I'd be ALL over that!

And having one of those is a requirement if you're going to hang out with me, lol...not because of my scintillating wit, but because truly odd things happen to me on a regular basis & laughter is a must! hehe

There are MANY people on here. I'm only one person. If I'm gonna talk to someone, there's gotta be a reason. I can't talk to a million people at once. laugh

Some people just don't feel comfortable sharing alot of details to people that they do not know. That is usually how one gets to know someone. My 2 cents. smokin

I'm tossing it here since I don't really want my profile rated, per say, but I did have a question.

What do you want to see on a profile? I thought I've described my interests fairly well, but I always get asked, so what do you like? So, what am I missing as far as explaining such things? Do you want to see a super-detailed 4 page layout or not?!

Curiously...

Hi Dancer, I just read your profile and found it to be full of info, lots if one reads between the lines even a little bit. I think it is fine, honest and informative. I absolutely love how open you are about your religious beliefs! (being a tree huger myself, so named for myself for lack of a better way to put it)

Anyone who reads that and has questions you've already answered...well he didn't read it!

Good luck in your search! He's out there somewhere...

I agree, just keep waiting for the one who can handle the oddness :) Have met a few that have become good friends, but the "click" wasn't there for either of us. Friends are good too, though, so no complaints on my end!
