Topic: Are people really this useless? | |

Yes, most people really are that useless. I'm always disgusted by people who laugh when someone slips and falls. How is that funny? What if they really hurt themselves? I guess we should laugh at them? I think mean people should be boiled in oil. Natural oil is best...err... Oh definitely, it makes them taste better. Muwhahahhaaha |

I've definitely read about cases where somebody was trying to commit suicide or there was a robbery and the police intervened and saved lives but accidently broke an arm or something in the process and have gotten sued. Only in America.

I had a seizure in the gym when I was 18. Noone even thought to take me to the hospital, and I was so disoriented for hours after I didnt think about it. something really bad could have happened, but they just wanted to brush it off, and send me home, and get rid of me. I was there with my "friend" who was friends with the owner, she just wanted to help him to sweep it under the carpet, so she just dropped me off at home. there's hope for the world... i had a seizure not long after hitting my head in a car wreck (rear-ended at light). 13 people in my dorm called 911 and when i woke up there were tons of people in the hall waiting to see if i was ok. even the ones i didn't really know offered help or support and really meant it. it was all embarrassing but too much support is better than none. i've helped people out many times in the last several years. family, friends, strangers, whoever needs it. car wrecks, heart attacks, seizures, passing out from hypoglycemia...the list goes on. |

Little did all of those people know that they could have been sliced into tiny pieces for their lack of action. WHERE was your chainsaw?? It ran out of gas... |

I'm a diabetic from birth and have been in that situation a couple of times, and not to excuse anyone standing there doing nothing but to people who do not know your a diabetic when in shock I look like I am drunk or on drugs so to a stranger I am just a person to laugh at.
That is why in the work area I always let my coworkers know of my situation and explain some of the things to do in case of emergency. |

That is why in the work area I always let my coworkers know of my situation and explain some of the things to do in case of emergency. That is true...but when someone is doing something that is obviously not normal the last thing someone should do is laugh, actually it is quite pathetic to laugh. I knew he was diabetic, they did not...but he hardly looked like someone that did "some really awesome drugs!" or even a OD, I've seen both, an OD he would have been crumpled on the floor non-responsive..."some really awesome drugs!" he probably wouldn't have been so disoriented. Either way if you are at a place of work and someone is not acting as they should you should call someone, typically 911 and say "I don't know what is going on but this clerk isn't acting right"...not sit and laugh like some kind of worthless twit. |

Here in Spokane a few months back a lady got raped in broad daylight in a MAJOR public park. There were tons of witnesses.
NOBODY called for help. When I heard about it I just about flipped out. NOBODY? What the HELL is WRONG with people?! |

Here in Spokane a few months back a lady got raped in broad daylight in a MAJOR public park. There were tons of witnesses. NOBODY called for help. When I heard about it I just about flipped out. NOBODY? What the HELL is WRONG with people?! Lot of people "don't want to get involve" it would shater there regular peaceful life to mingle in the affair of a stranger in need of help and there usual reaction is something like "Hey I don't know him/her and they would probably not help me if I was in there situation". It is sad but true in lots of cases, lots of people do care and will help but it seems to me that in this world of more and more selfishness there are fewer and fewer of them. |

It's so hard, sometimes, to keep faith in the human race. Fear, I read through most of that. So sad... |

NOBODY? What the HELL is WRONG with people?! that is soo awful it's too common. some people are afraid to help (for fear of retaliation), some assumed someone else is helping and it's not their business, and a minority are just pervs who get off on it. there have been psychology and sociology studies done for decades on the subject. one of the most common places i'd say would be parties. i've had to pull a guy off a fighting girl more than once. |
