If I could time travel, I'd heavily guard the machine so that no one could pass through and change the event of Christ coming and dying for us.

Assuming the story of Christ is true:

So if you could go back in time to the time of Christ, you would not try to save him? You would probably sell him for 30 pieces of silver to make sure he died for your sins! You would stop anyone from trying to save him?

What if his true mission was to spread the gospel and teach people how to heal others? What if the story about him dieing for your sins is just a lie to cover up the injustice of killing a man of God?

Your attitude is equal to killing him yourself as a sacrifice to save your own butt. I find it very selfish and distasteful.

I don't like human sacrifice or animal sacrifice for the sake of some blood thirsty God. That sounds like the reptilian over lords, sons of the snake people.

I'm sorry you feel so offended. I'm as guilty as Judas was because I sin every day. Every time you lie, cheat, steal, think immoral thoughts or how you could just get back at someone for offending you, you are just as guilty. Read the Bible, and you will see that He was MEANT to die for us. He was the ultimate and ONLY sacrifice worthy of being in our place. His death is all-efficient and His blood that cleanses His children is all-sufficient.

Or so they say!

He was the ultimate and ONLY sacrifice worthy of being in our place. His death is all-efficient and His blood that cleanses His children is all-sufficient.

That is neither logical or true. I am not offended by a myth I am simply astonished that people believe it to be truth.

I don't know why you believe the way you do but probably because you chose to believe your religious authority, whoever or what ever that is, be it a book or a group of men who created a religion.

But to me, it is illogic and myth. It, none of it, makes any sense at all. The concept of 'sin' is basically owned by religious authorities who seem to claim knowledge of what is and is not 'a sin.'

But outside of that established religious belief system the term 'sin' does not really have any meaning. It is 'owned' by the church.

If I were to tell you that it is a 'sin' to give candy to children you might question that idea. I am not Christian so I have no right to use the term 'sin' to describe any actions or deeds.

Therefore sin means something to you but it means nothing to me. I do not accept your doctrine or your religious authority. I believe that the entire new testament is a forgery as do many people.

I see you as a member of a cult who ceremoniously engages in human sacrifice.

 Yes, the reptilian overlords certainly have a penchant for human and animal sacrifice:smile:

You know, I know I'd like to have talked to myself as a kid. I know it would probably mess time up and everything. But babysitting myself at six years old would be so interesting.

Yea I know but what if I was an unknown new babysitter or teacher and she(I) would never know.

Don't you think that'd be amazing!

bigsmile That is right Sunny.drinker If your identity were to remain unknown to your past self, then a paradox would probably be avoided.bigsmile Yes,that would be amazingdrinker

I would go back and find Maxwell and kill him as a baby

and then I would have never had to learn all those crazy formulas

and I would like to go find myself as a young man and tell myself , "when you meet a girl named Dawn and she asks for a ride? just RUN!!!"

Boy you're a great candidate for a game of "Reincarnation".

If I had a time machine I'm not sure where I would want to go in time to be quite honest about. Does it come with a Travel Guide?

I kind of like Sunny's idea of going back and being a mentor to myself. laugh

But like the monkey says, that could potentially create a time-warp paradox.

I'm really not interested in time travel to be honest about it. It'd rather just have a crystal ball and watch it like a TV.

It would be fun to watch the actual history and find out what really happened rather than have to rely on the hearsay history records that we currently have.

I would like to see who Jesus really was (if he existed at all). And of course, if he turned out to be real, my next stop would be back to the Garden of Eden with a ax to chop down a certain tree before it became fruitful. laugh

If you're going to change history you may as well nip it in the bud.
