Watch what you say, and dont overwhelm us.

Hell. That leaves me out. I am liable to say just about anything.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. It's sad how frusterated I get, but it's hard to control. I guess I just need to remember that people are putting about as much thought into thier comments, as I did when I made my original comment.

sometimes that is true but remember if you post a thread you have to expect comments and opinions... some people post threads and get mad when they don't get comments they want/expect....

Apparently I just made an a** of myself due to what I said about women not being sure what they want in a man, in the essence thread. I invite all of you ladies to tell me all the things that men should know about ladies before interacting with them.

You will never know this because they are always changing there minds. smokin

we might change our minds about things but not what we want in a man.

Even if 'what you want' in a man has lead you to heartache and sorrow... Over and over?

I took a class in college that I think was called Liberal Arts. It was a literature course and I needed it since I enrolled late, and it was the only thing available that would count toward my degree. Basically what it was, was a class full of females discussing literature written by females about how men sucked. There were some pretty ugly stereotypes that offended me,and that I certainly don't think applied to me, so I guess I could see where generalizations could piss someone off.

oh I had to take a "women's studies" course and WOW talk about angry female stuff we had to read.. Some of it was really good, it gave insight to different cultures, etc. and some of it really hit home on how some women are treated.. But I find no reason to be angry at a gender as a whole when only a few a$$holes did you wrong...

They talked primarily about the roles that women were forced into because of societies prejudices, but they failed to mention the roles men were forced into as well because of societies prejudices. There's always two sides to every coin.

I doubt we'll agree there. Women didn't have positions back then... What roles were men forced into? Being the hunters? Being straight?

Being straight is one of them, but don't you think that being the sole breadwinner with your wife and childrens survival resting on your shoulders carried a great deal of stress to accompany your position. Maybe there were some men who wanted to stay home with the babies and clean house, but even to this day that would be considered immasculine.

You have a point about today... BUT back then women did not have a voice, they didn't own anything, they lost their children if they got divorced, the money from their family trust went to their husbands, they could be beat and no one cared b/c the man ruled the house and that was that...

There is something to be said about testosterone rather than men being forced into these roles.. I don't believe they were forced to be bread winners they chose those roles, they were in charge... Men didn't want to stay home with the kids, do laundry, cook, sew, etc.
