I seem to recall the statement that everyman was responsible for his role in society and that simply isn't true. My whole statement was that we are born into the society that we are born into, and we have no control over that. If you really think that makes me a bad person, so be it.

HOW exactly did this go from discussing the comment made in the "essence" thread to debating men/women roles???

Apparently I just made an a** of myself due to what I said about women not being sure what they want in a man, in the essence thread. I invite all of you ladies to tell me all the things that men should know about ladies before interacting with them. Isn't this, the OP, the discussion? or am I missing something? |

The statement was "men chose the roles as they were and have been setup"... Why do you always resort to the "hate me, call me an azzhole, etc?" I thought you wanted a good debate.. You've not said anything to really back up the "poor men were set in these roles" nor have you addressed what those "poor men actually did--- OPPRESSED WOMEN".. |

I stated that there were some men who may not have liked the roles they were born into, and that was all of a sudden turned around against me to say that I'm bitter because I want to stay at home and that is a very irresponsible remark.

I made no personal attacks but had several made against me, for simply trying to offer another perspective. That's just plain sad.

I infered that from the rest of your statements and the fact that you said you'd want to stay at home and continue the human race rather than go to war..
