eh, Gambit was cool back in the 90's when Jim Lee had the series, but no one in the Marvel U holds a candle to the badassery that is Frank Castle!

Punisher is the ****! The second movie Warzone is actually really damn good, not like the flop that was the first one (although I did like that one as well).

I have all of the Warzones on my harddrive...damn good comics!

Agreed, Gambit has shine but these days, Castle shines much more in the darkness

The directors cut of the first one was wayy better than the original release (same with Daredevil... directors cut was much better).
I really enjoyed Warzone, it got me collecting Punisher comics, but I'm having a hard time finding them online. It's really a shame Warzone failed to get the recognition it deserved. My only quarrel was how they had Jigsaw acting by the end of the movie... he was more of a cheap Joker rip-off than the Jigsaw IMO... just not enough individual spark.

I beg to differ:

EDIT: For some reason the image isn't showing...I posted a pic of Spider Ham, there goes that failed attempt of a joke.

Yea, I thought Jigsaw was overdoing the part. They really should have cast someone else to play the part, you could tell through the entire movie he was forcing the accent and overplaying the part entirely too much.

I saw the directors cut of the first one, but it really didn't follow the comic at all in the script...I still thought it was good, it was just disappointing that Hollywood does that to so many different movies.

Yeah, like I said, I only just recently started following Punisher. I've been way too busy stitchin my stomach from 'Pool or trying desperately to catch on on the entire universe, just finished Secret Invasion but Dark Reign is still too fresh to find a decent amount to read, even with subscription to Marvel's digital comics.
I was pretty sure it didnt follow it, and yeah it really sucks. But I have to say, the Ghost Rider movie was by far the worst I have ever seen. And I absolutely hate the Spider-Man films. Everything about them... cast, director... Little off topic, but the worst adapted film ever made, and I havent even seen it, is the DragonBall bullshitt. I wish we could hunt these people who allow such things to happen. AH makes me want to gouge out my eyes and eat them, then remove my ears and stuff them in the bloody opening. But I will leave my tounge so you can hear my pain!

I truly hope Reynolds doesnt let the Green Lantern film take anything away from the Deadpool film. Dont even get me started on what they did to him in Origins

Jigsaw definitely overacted the hell out of the part. but i dont even care. i loved Warzone, you know why? Stevenson FINALLY after 3 people trying to do the role, got Frank Castle right! he was perfect in the role.

to me, that falls under crime against humanity

After reading more of his issues, I'd have to agree. I was rather pleased that the movie wasnt full of dialogue and pointless story plots. Its pretty ****ing simple. Bad men, one solution. Punishment.

It's not like they didnt talk about Castle's past... they gave enough insight on why things were the way they were portrayed. I dont need Castle himself telling minor characters his sob story or some dumb shitt

hell, the movie with Tom Jane even managed to screw up his origin, and his was as basic as you could get! his wife and kids were killed in a mob hit when they were picnicing in central park in NYC. i hated that they put it in Florida too, terrible.

and when they had Frank going around and making the 'bad guys' off each other and mistrust each other just isnt Punisher's style. Frank just kicks the damned door in and starts blasting away with his trusty M60. plain and simple no? yet they had to go ahead and screw that up too.

thank god for Warzone

How curious, I must have missed the whole Florida thing, but thinking about it, I definitely am seeing so much more now that is just sad about it. I did like it as a movie, but did not appreciate it as the Punisher.

Now if they'd only bring Moon Knight to screen... (well done of course)

you missed the whole florida thing? dude, the whole movie took place in Tampa! (i'm talking about the one that came out in 2004, not the one that came out in 2008)

Haha, i know, it's been that long since I've seen it. I am 20 now, so i was about 14-15, at 16 my baby was conceived and life took a sharp turn down a rough path. Only the great movies kept my attention to such detail after so much

Deadpool issue 54 (COVER)

Castle is in quite a bit a 'Pool comics, obviously probably not even a quarter of the time, but shows up now and again to try to take him out (or vice versa)

Speaking of which, Castle (I believe) is in the entire 5part series Suicide Kings, brand new, only seen the first two.
